New intel Emcrest 510 SSD's out now!

120GB - £223 450mb/s read, 210mb/s write 8,000 IOPS Write 20,000 IOPS Read (model: SSDSCMH120G2K5)
250GB - £458 500mb/s read, 315mb/s write 8,000 IOPS Write 20,000 IOPS Read (model: SSDSCMH250A2K5)

The 120GB is in stock on a rival site, the 250GB is available for pre-order.

Are these the Emcrest? IOPS is shameful for an Intel drive. As is the pricing. I can't see these selling well when G3 is not far off.

What about compared to the G2 which I expect you'd struggle to tell the difference between in most usage scenarios?

Not in sequential, IOPS is slated to be significantly higher though.

The appeal of the G3s is that in addition to having decent performance, they should actually be reasonably priced instead of crazy money.

Live now, NDA lifted this morning, were not slow, just obeying Intel's NDA rules.

G3's according to Intel are due in the late Summer I believe.
