*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I can only find the tmobile RUU that says my phone has the incorrect cid. I flashed the stock froyo from but now having issues with the wifi not working. Grr.

*edit

Finally got a stock 2.2 rom on. All fine and dandy, start navigation, BOOM, restart. Guess a repair is needed:(

**edit Finally got the tmobile rom on, it was my usb cable causing issues!

Can't be having any of this browsing to page 2 for the Desire thread! Nonsensical behaviour!

What's gonna happen to this place when everyone gets a SGSII?

I won't be upgrading for a couple of months yet :p

At least not until 2.4 is on the Desire!

Using CM7? Battery life on this is noticeably better than Oxygen, which is especially good when I now have 36 games installed and not enough time to play them all ;)

Anyway, I propose that these phones are kept as development handsets in true Android fashion! :p

Looks like Defrost is well and truly dead.

What should I move onto? Stock Android, the best battery life and ability to connect a Wiimote are all I seek in a ROM. A nice update manager like Defrost has would be great too.

Edit: Can't be faffed with EXT partitions any more too, what is this about boot tables freeing up a bit more space?

N1 OTA is being pushed apparently. F5 on the Oxygen thread all day then...

Oxygen is a common choice, wait until the 'final' version drops now though.

Have a read of http://alpharev.nl for S-OFF and boot table changes. Khaaan's guide covers that too I think.

Try Ginger Villain, I see it as the successor to Defrost and it is very quick with good battery life.

Anyone else got no google calendar events on the web but still showing on their phone? Looks like an issue with Google from a quick search on twitter.

It's in the name :p

I was in a kebab shop in London last weekend (was bought a helping of chicken donar, extra spicy!!!) and overheard some lads talking about phones, one said he wanted an iPhone when his mate butted in saying he should get the HTC Desire as it's just as good but cheaper and the others appeared to agree.

I wanted to bust out mine and show them and high five all round but you don't disturb a man when he's eating or washing his car :p

How do I tell when my phone is bricked?

I S-OFF-d without a problem, then I downloaded the PB99.IMG update for CM7, went into the menu as they say on the alpharev site, and now the phone just sits at the alpharev boot screen and does nothing else.

If I take the battery out I can reboot into recovery.

Hmm I don't recognize that Ingram file but you could just do a wipe and then flash a new rom?

Well, now the phone just boots into recovery everytime, WTF have I done?

I updated from Oxygen to CM 7 RC 1, following the wipe and everything went fine, then I used the PB99 img off the Alpharev site, and now I am where I am.

How to solve this? And is this even fixable?
