Got my Asrock P67 Extreme 6 up & running now.Any questions u want answered

Only setting the short and long power higher will allow it to hold higher multipliers, I upped long duration from 95 to 110, what do you have ?

side note, I have had a couple of bluscreens in prime now :(

Chucked mine up to 250 on all 3 :)

ok checked bios when i got in and its at default 150 i say default cause i havnt touched it, everything else says auto

while i was there i dropped offset to -0.06 cpu z now reports between 1.28 to 1.328 primes been running for half hour so far and temps still hitting 75 average 1/2 & 71 0/4

anyone know how long artic silver ceramique takes to bed in?

Thank's, Life is easier with the presets as a base....You have a good chip there ;) but I don't rate the cooler much ! My Noctura with 1 fan held below 70 at -.05.
Not sure ceramique needs to bed in as it's not silver particles like AS5 also I thought not as good....could loose a few degrees for You with AS5

what preset r you running now?? a few peeps have the h70 with vipers and oced sandys supposedly not hitting 50 so i think im gonna grab some as5 from work tomorrow and try reseating, also i think i may put the corsair fans back on as the pc is in a different room to where i am sat so pwm function dont really matter.....in fact thinking about it now i dont even know why i changed them!

Mate, You would not believe I have 11 A4 sheets from testing !! if You use full manual settings You can get the job done about 3 different ways :D
I'm now playing with the presets, 4.8GHZ is too much voltage and temp for My liking, so playing with 4.6 with offset volts and LLC + PLL which now works ;) It's needing about 1.28v loaded for prime which is the wrong side of 1.3 med load.
I'm pleased with My Noctua C14 which I have modded to 1 fan blowing up from the bottom, besides it cooling the mobo, from 60c if you take the load off it's back in the 30's in literally 3-5 sec....never seen a cooler do that ;)

My motherboard is now failing to boot...does not even get to the bios screen

Tryed pulling out all memory and swapping slots & tryed using single stick in each slot..
Tryed clearing the cmos by rear switch & jumper on board
Tryed removing battery
Tryed with only a single GPU card (both slots)
Tryed with all USB items/cables ,network cables, hardrives etc,etc removed

And still does not work :(
(Now using my old 775 board & CPU  )

Looks like it RMA time for my Extreme 6....
Posted (RMA) my motherboard back to OCuk today...

Wonder how long it be before i receive one back...

Got this reply back from OCuk

Here is the technicians Test Report:

"Motherboard posts with all memory slots filled with no issues (bios and windows), also test with one stick in different slots, please try again and check other components for faults / incompatability."
Looks like it must be my CPU or ram that is faulty...

Am going try test my i7 CPU & ram tonight in my new SB HTPC

Not the first time I've seen that, taking everything off the board and leaving for a day or so, or just re-mounting the CPU and it's back to life, It was just the cmos that was a little scrambled.

Surely a waste of time getting it back when the replacements should only be a few weeks away ?

Seems like it my i7 cpu that is faulty as the HTPC i have just built will not boot at all with my i7 2600k cpu.......But boots fine with my i5 2500k

I Just been on the phone with OCuk for my CPU RMA
And they mentioned something about ASrock will not send them any B3 boards for replacing are B2 boards

Ocuk said we need to contract Asrock are selfs to try get are boards changed..

Another new official Bios 1.60 out for Extreme6,

1. Improve mouse fucntion under BIOS setup.
2. Keep User Profile after clear CMOS.
3. Patch 15" CRT monitor for BIOS setup.

You can get it from Asrock website.

Btw quite a few and some well known online stores now have the new B3 version of both Extreme4 and 6 in stock :).

I've seen some with V3 but when I questioned them they admitted that this is not the same as B3.

Ones I have seen are B3 versions, anyway easy to tell if you got the new B3 version it says so on the box,

How to identify Intel B3 Stepping Chipset message on ASRock P67/H67 Series motherboard?

(I) You can find “New B3 Stepping Chipset” logo on the gift box.

(II) You can find "New B3 Stepping Chipset" sticker on the motherboard PS/2 connector.

(III) You can find "New B3 Stepping Chipset" logo on the UEFI BIOS boot screen.
