My dream phone arrived last Friday from t-mobile, its absolutly fantastic, but after a few beers and a few you tube songs i noticed the videos shuddering and freezing. I tried and tried in different locations but just the same.

So i sent it back and t-mobile agreed a complete exchange. Another brand new Desire HD turned up on Tuesday, straight onto You tube to play a HD video... exactly the same, freezing, stuttering, jittery videos, i couldnt believe it. So t-mobile agreed a THIRD complete exchange.

It will arrive tomorrow!!... im dreading testing a you tube video, i so want it to work as the phone is gorgeous and genius.

Anybody else had this problem?????????????

I'm certain the DesireHD hasnt got enough grunt to run HD clips off youtube - i dont even think the new dual core phones can do it.

I've never had any issue with youtube clips juddering or anything of the sort - I certainly wouldn't go to the effort of having the phone replaced 3 times just because of that?!

Are you sure you've got a good HSDPA signal or if you're using wifi is the connection a decent one as well as the initial Q regarding the actual content you're attempting to play?

I found that setting USB debugging (settings/applications/development/USB debugging) to on (ticked) eliminated my video stutter, and other lag issues.

Ginga's post will most likely resolve your problem, but you also need to check your downloading at a suitable bandwith, if its in the region of 350 kbps thats only a 3G connection, you should get upwards of 1000kbps for HSDPA (or 3.5G as our Nokia friends see on their phones :)
