Why the hell did I think this game was starting much later in the day?? :confused:

Anyway I have just caught the score at 193/3 for Pak after 38 overs. Run rate looks to be around 5/over which can really be boosted in the last 10 overs with the wickets we have left so 300+ at this stage should be on. :)
 
200 up for Pak now...Younis starting to take apart the spinners now:D...desperately want him to get his century and Misbah is on his way to another half century as well...47 not out.

We need to start stepping up this run rate now. We have some big hitters still to come in, we have to hit 300 from this position...
 
Cant see it happening...Umar Akmal just lost his wicket but boom boom has come in...Murali is starting to screw us royally with his bowling....if we can get close to 300 then i think we are in a good position....4 overs to go and we have only made 240 so far....not good.

Well finally hits a 4 lol...still what a shoddy over from Paks....not taking advantage of the last few overs lol.

We will end up making about 270 if we are lucky.
 
Damn thought that was a sure 4, went like a bullet down the ground. Brilliant bit of fielding to stop that.

Come on lads we want 300!!

edit: Need 40 runs from the last 2 overs... optimistic eh :p
 
Misbah is on fire....really batting well and keeping our innings going....a few more boundaries please:D

As i said earlier...we would end up with 270-ish....278 to win for the Sri Lankans...gonna be bloody close....come on Pak....bowl them out, Afridi to get another 5 wicket haul:p

Decent score but not really a safe score in the current one day game. Hoping Pak get some early wickets.
 
Last 10 overs we didnt bat as well as we should have...Younis was starting to open up and its a shame he didnt get onto a century as i think it would have made a big difference to our final score....Afridi as per usual comes in, gets us 10-20 runs then loses his wicket like a madman...disappointed with both Akmal brothers, they should have scored more....but really we should have made 300 for the position we were in at one point...

Now we have to bowl well and hopefully get some early wickets....hopefully Akhtar will bag a few with Afridi and Gul bagging the rest.

Phewww finally 3 wickets down SL are...95-3 off 20 overs...Afridi, Akhtar and Hafeez bagging the first 3 wickets...come on SL do a nice lovely batting collapse please:D
 
Is there really any need for that many swearies and triple posting? ;)

Anyways, I think Pakistan have this quite easily. Sri Lanka are giving wickets away..
 
Dear god Akmal is a terrible wicketkeeper...missed 2 easy easy stumpings...why Pak persevere with him is beyond me...as a batter hes pretty handy but a useless wicketkeeper.

Oh dear dropped a catch...useless fielding as per usual for Pak lol

Afridi with his 300th wicket in ODI...also the 2nd person to take 300 wickets and score 6000 runs in ODI....just awesome from the captain...hes become such a good bowler now that his batting doesnt even matter.

Got the dangerman Sangakara out...169-5...run rate is starting to get away from the SL's
