My trip to Welsh Wales and some rather big hills! (Pictures inside!).

Nice pictures, some fantastic scenery.

Not really big hills though. I find it quite a shame how the British Isles doesn't really have any decently large mountains at all. It's barely 1000 metres tall - the Americans have HIGHWAYS that are nearly 4 times higher up than that!

Bigger then our hills.:p

I can climb South Australia's highest "mountain" closest to Adelaide in an hour:p

You do get an awesome view of Adelaide and the cost line though:cool:

Nope - each Australian state has a higher mountain than Snowdon.

Mount Kosciuszko, New South Wales, is more than TWICE the height of Snowdon :)

Looks like a nice place to stay :)

Better than Llanberis (sp?) anyway, **** hole of a place with even filthier residents.

Llanberis is a massive tourist trap. Especially as it forms the start of the easiest route up Snowdon.

That's why I prefer spending time in more northern or southern Snowdonia.

It's the locals that are the problem down there, animals I tell thee!

Fantastic pics there.

I have an interest in the monarchies from the past and have an interest in Edward I who ordered Caernarfon built as part of his ' iron ring ' of defences after Wales was conquered. I would like to visit there some day.

Pete's Eats is lovely though, if slightly on the pricier side!

I usually camp further up the Llanberis Pass, just through Nant Peris at the Snowdon Bunkhouse. I used to camp further up, still, at a field with a white cottage at the top. But some rich ******** dentist bought it and stopped the camping. Was a bloody lovely campsite too. :(

Snow! :D

The new site is nice in that it has proper toilets and even showers, but I did prefer the last one. Besides, you don't get stuff like this parking at the one we use now:

You an English type? Welsh folk don't like English types. They tolerate half-bloods like myself and my wife... :D

I've been to all of the Ring of Iron and they are all awesome.

I've camped there before. Shame about what happened if you ask me.
