With Apps?

What apps are you using exactly that equal 1G in total size?

I have 77 apps and they're all under 200MB and even then most over 2MB are moved to Android A2SD so use no internal mem.
 
Anyone using Cyanogen mod and unable to install a customer boot animation?

I have renamed a ZIP to bootanimation.zip to the system/media folder and rebooted a couple of times, but haven't managed to get it to work :(
 
Use Android Flasher Util but I have not changed mine as the CM7 boot anim is nice. Only changed to my own splash screen.

Any idea (this has probably been answered before)?

Hmmm I never knew what the exact fix was to that but I assume you're running it as admin?
 
It won't work through the flasher tool, I have the same error as you. I did it through adb shell.

Secondly, don't rename your bootanimation to "bootanimation.zip" that will break it. Mine is called "bootanim.zip"

Using my example (bootanim.zip is in my tools folder of the Android SDK:

adb push bootanim.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip
adb reboot
 
i've managed to fit everything into the sd space.

i can see why some would need it though

anyway - i've installed cm7 v8 - any way of enabling track wake?
 
Yup, CM Settings > Input > Trackball Wake.

I don't think I will try any other ROM from now on, CM is just too jam packed with useful tweaks while still being minimal. I've now tweaked the automatic backlight with some custom values too and it's shifting fine now.

I just got mine back the other day too. Nobody called to arrange a time though, it just turned up.

What specifically are the Google Apps? Only things I can see of use in there are GMail (I personally don't use it) and the Marketplace. Can you install the Marketplace after flashing to Oxygen 2.0?

Is Google Maps/Navigation in there too?

I don't fill 1gb but I have filled over 500mb in the past so I just use a 1gb ext. and a2sd usually, I also don't need to fanny about manually moving anything to SD.
 
Since Android Flasher is refusing to do anything i need help with flashing a new hboot with the sdk, i have got as far as listing the device in cmd under fastboot.

Since i have the got oxygen hboot i what to learn how flash other hboot's because i can't relay on a program to do it for me so could anyone help me out on how to flash the CM hboot please.

No it worked out of the box.

Is anyone else getting complaints of echo from anyone you call or have called you? I had this issue with the Modaco ROM. Now on latest Oxygen 2.0.
