ICC ODI World Cup 2011

Touched a nerve, I see. ;)

I'm more amazed by the fact that, in all his bizarre and unneccesary efforts to show solidarity with his Irish brothers

 My father was English and my mother is Australian, so how exactly are the Irish my "brothers"? If anything, I'm a product of the imperialist aggressors. :p

"Solidarity"? No, just sympathy.

he's gone and made light of one of the worst tragedies in their history.

I didn't, but even if I had, let's not pretend you really care. :)

Nice work by O'Brien, btw. :D

w00t, O'Brien gets his century; the fastest in World Cup history!

Meanwhile, Strauss is requesting a phone number for the RUC...

*edit*

O'Brien's gone! Ireland's dreams of freedom are dashed by a single ball! :( Strauss is openly weeping with relief.

Well done O'Brien, that's an utterly insane century. I think Ireland might well have this now.

Or not, we've finally got a wicket! Cripes.

I didn't, but even if I had, let's not pretend you really care. :)
So the bit where you compared a game of cricket to the famine was what exactly?

Are you going to make a comment about the holocaust next time Maccabi or Hapoel Tel Aviv play in the football?

It was bad taste, I've said my piece, I'm not going to derail this thread any further.

Agreed lol. Have England been bowling underarms to him or something? :p

Its strange, our attack seems useless in these conditions and Broad, who used to be a master, hasn't bowled a Yorker since the last Ashes back here (England).

The pitch is stupidly flat though, had we been chasing in these conditions i would feel comfortable chasing 350+ .. its easier to play when you know the target.

Even Swann only managed wickets when all the stars aligned and the ball turned, every time this happened he got a wicket.

No such stars for pace bowlers though .. they've turned into black holes or something.

England made tough work of Netherlands and have done the same today vs Ireland, they should still win though.

Couple of slower overs after Cusack's gone. Mooney looks shakey, and he's also hogging a bit too much of the strike for O'Brien to carry on his crazy with.

It's called black humour. The juxtaposition was deliberately ironic. :)

Not your best retort. I hereby invoke Godwin's Law.

Ireland need 44 from 37. Can't see that happening, unfortunately.

*edit*

Good grief, O'Brien is still in! It's Cusak who was out. Silly mistake on my part, but that's what you get for trying to follow international cricket at 3am. :o

Don't you have a flood to clean or something? You only appear around here when either england are doing badly or Austrailia are doing well, hence why we saw you disappeared after the 1st day of the 4th ashes test.

Still dont understand why we dont aim at the wicket.
Ireland are slogging us around regardless, at least back yourself to hit when / if they miss...

It worked against us.
