Do you ever walk to work?

Either walk or cycle but only when the weather is OK.

The nippers school is on the way so its 15 minutes to her school and 10 minutes down hill pretty much all the way to the door.

Home time can be a killer on the bike. I'm aiming to be able to get up the hill without having to get off by the summer. :)

I often bus to work and run the journey home, its about 6 miles and keeps me in great shape. I normally do that three times a week when I work 8-4, however its still a bit dark for the 9-5 shift. Bring on the end of the month and the clocks changing!!

I normally walk, it's only 3.2miles and only takes about 15mins longer than the car - getting in and out of the city centre is awesome fun :D (not)

since my car got £700 worth of damage to it in the carpark, ive started walking to work. Lost a stone in the proccess...

would if it was far, though there was a stage when I used public transport and walked to the station instead of taking a bus.

If I don't need the car for work use then I cycle in to work. Takes me 20 minutes or 12 minutes if I go the short way. I have considered walking in, basically my options are:

Drive = 2.8 miles
Bike = a stressy 2.8 miles with traffic or 4.5 miles of deserted country roads (I only do the 2.8 miles if I'm running late)
Walk = 3 miles of public footpaths along fields etc. Nice walk but would need wellies most of the year :p

i'd happily walk every day, it's quite pleasant even it crappy weather. As it is I walk mon and fri, have to drop the gf off at work tues-thurs which is past my work anyway.
