i5-2500s or i7-2600s

Thanks for that R.C Anderson should have known better really lol like I say wasn't sure if you guys knew about it or whatnot so I thought I would mention just in case :)

S/T-series are "low TDP". S are low power, T are very low power.

They do support Turbo Boost, though not for extended periods, so not for gamers/overclockers. Ideal for HTPC though.
 
What happened to these in the end? Are they going to be stocked? I can't seem to find them anywhere?
 
Just buy a K chip and undervolt it,you can change the multiplier downwards also if you want less speed on the H67 boards.

Before you think "that's crazy" just have a good think about it.......K chips are only a few quid more than these 65w versions and undervolting and downclocking you can get to the same thermal envelopes and best of all you can buy it now!
 
Legion, are you confident all H67 boards will allow you to underlock, opposed to just locking access to change the multiplier, and thus and up simply running at stock?
 
I have found an answer to my own question, at least for Asrock boards (which is ultimately what I want).

So that lays waste to the underlocking 2500K idea....

I hv' been searching on web almost every day to find the i5 2500S too! It seems it doesn't exisits in this world. Very disapointing:mad:
