Best SSD for £100

Hi all

I have a spare £100 to spend and looking to buy a SSD what is the best looking at 60\64gb

I would also like to know this, although the real question is are the newer drives (c400 etc.) going to come in a 60GB version?

OP, don't think there is much between the SSD's at £100

i would wait a month for the new drives to come out, if anything the older drives prices will drop if you dont need the extra speed!

I'd also wait and get an 80GB drive as soon as the prices drop enough. Either Intel X25-M or OCZ Vertex 2 or Corsair Force, any of these would be fine at the price.

If it helps, I've just bought the 60GB OCZ Vertex 2E after several recomendations. Depends how much space you need and for what purpose. I've got mine for Windows and games. Everything else will go on the other drive I have.

I went for the 64GB Crucial C300 SSD and I'm very happy with it so far.

You're a lucky git, my games would easily fill up a 500GB drive

Im waiting until you can get a 240gb drive for sub £100, just cant justify it until then really.

Probably several yet then Tom, the 3rd gen don't even seem to be close to the elusive £1 per Gb yet, let alone less than half that.

i went for the c300 64gb when they were first released and have recently bought a second one cheap second hand and hey presto ssd raid 0 ! not had any problems with it slowing down! its super fast!

Show off!! I'm only using the SSD to run FSX (It needs all the help it can get). Everything else will be on a 1 TB WD Caviar Green.

I've just got C300 128GB a couple of days ago mate
