Do you read the Daily Mail?

Sometimes I read the RSS DFail links, and wonder
"Are they actually writing this to see how many idiots actually believe this utter ****, for a laugh!?"

It's stupid, the overwhelming majority people that read it as a serious news paper and source of information are morons.

I read the Financial Times and sometimes The Times. I used to read the Guardian but got fed up with their articles getting longer and being filled with either telling me how to feel about a certain issue, or telling me what XYZ irrelevant person feels about an issue.

The Financial Times is less adulterated, more fact (opinion is kept to opinion columns). The Times is a pleasant read, and they also opinion is kept to opinion columns but I sometimes worry about what stories they don't report rather than how they report on stories (but then I read a lot of news on the Internet, so usually balances).

People who get their news from one source are idiots and deserve to be misinformed and look stupid.

Unfounded trash made for uneducated trash. Although when I'm feeling randy enough to want to look at some side bewb but not randy enough to ring myself dry you will find me peruising the celebrity section of the website.

BS like that is what gives the paper a bad name - ie idiots like you posting fake front pages/stories to belittle the paper.

That the paper should lend itself so easily to being parodied should tell you something about it.

I don't tend to read the Daily Mail apart from occasional links that are posted here, it's not the worst paper in the World but I don't like the style nor does most of the content appeal to me. I also object to people telling me what I should think - too many papers (and not just the Daily Mail) present it as "here's your opinion, you don't even have to think about it, just repeat it" and that doesn't sit well with me.

You sound like a reasonable sound minded individual I expect you have no time for racist bigots who read the mail hey?
I have little time for racist bigots. Many of them, however, are only racist bigots because their minds have been poisoned by the lies and hatred spewing out of papers like the Mail. If you get told enough times that immigrants are to blame for everything you'll start to believe it.

I hate them because they're scum, but I think they should be killed because they deliberately encourage an environment of suspiscion, fear and resentment. They cause nothing but misery and anger and their continued existance is detrimental to this country and all who live in it.

Eliminate the Mail and the net amount of hatred in this country would drop significantly overnight. This would be a good thing and well worth the lives of a few neo-nazis.

LOL.

The DM is one of the widest read newspapers in circulation the world over. If you think they're all neo-nazis I suggest you set your GPS to 'Reality.'

They are both left wing rags , the times publicly backed labour last election and the guardian is unashamed leftism is obvious.

You obviously don't read The Times. It’s always been just right of centre and at the last election it endorsed the Conservative party.

While I'd agree that the Daily Mail isn't something for Neo-Nazis I wouldn't exactly be bemoaning its demise were it to happen. Whether it led to less hatred and fear in the World is a bit more of a jump.

Depends where badcompany is starting from, if he's far enough right then everything else would be written by "limp-wristed left-wingers".

Oh true, I just think its a touch of the old hyperbole in many cases when people blame it for all the hatred in the world. Something that is patently not true.
