They asked you not to have an oompah loompa as an avatar, presumably you ignored the request?
Tis an internet forum, they frequently have different rules that posters won't agree with. Certain Mods will maybe take different views on things - OCUK (although a fairly good forum) isn't an exception to this either. The realty is though that if an admin requests you to not do something there isn't much point trying to argue/reason over it - tis their forum their rules etc... Its like going round to someone's house and not taking your shoes off when asked - you'll maybe not get invited round again.
I completely agree with you though, it is very very petty to request you to change an avatar like that.
It wasnt in their rules though.
When I asked why I should change it things got a little....... Funny lol!
I'm almost tempted to post the PM Convo on here... However, they'll ban me if I do that. Then they had a go at me because of my signature.
My signature had the banned user's name in it.... The dictators didnt like this and set their mods on me. After a lengthy PM discussion my sig still remains

Anyways, if I remember rightly Willy Wonka actually saved the Oompa Loompas from the Snargles and Groots(Sic). And left them live in the factory where they would be safe.
Just for the record this isnt about OCUK. Its about VXR Online and follows on from this oompa lumpa rubbish.

After posting this thread on their forum it was deleted. My profile was then downgraded to "Historical Member"... Not sure whether or not that means I've been banned as I have no intention of logging back in.

Few things off of my chest.
I’ll no doubt be banned for what I’m about to say…….. Oh well!
Ever since Aussie (whoops I said his name in public) was banned I have been hounded by mods for asking questions and to a certain extent causing trouble (If guilty of the latter then I’m sorry). It all kicked off when I changed my Avatar to a picture of an Ummpa Loompa (have I spelt that correctly?). The moment I done that I received a request. Not from a mod but from hmmmm…… Stake Holder/Part Owner………. Lets just say Douglas, better yet Dougie as that what most of us call him. So anyway I receive a PM from Dougie, which later tuner into a conversation about the removal of the Ummpa Loompa. For some reason he thought Aussie told me to change my avatar when in truth I changed it to find out what the reason was (at the time Aussie wouldn’t tell me).
No reason for the warning was provided at first. Aussie initially told me that they were seen as racist and I believe him. I said sorry to Dougie and removed it straight away. Shortly after I removed it I was given pretty much the full picture. I must admit I was rather stunned. I won’t tell that part of the story as it isn’t mine to tell!
After a while I got bored of the whole ummpa lumpa stuff and changed my avatar to a pic of Aussie’s car and a link to his build thread. What on earth could be wrong with that you ask? Well the powers that be (to be honest I’m not sure who is in charge…. The Mods or Dougie) started to hassle me again first asking, then telling me to change it. Of course I refused. I hadn’t broken any Avatar or Signature rules. I wasn’t offending anyone. So why should I have to change it. This turned into another sort of argument with a member of the mod team via PM. I soon fended them of though…. Or so I thought.
Things started to get really petty….. I’d log in and notice that either my avatar or signature had magically changed (In truth a member of the Mod team or Dougie had been changing my avatar and signature). So I’d have to change it again lol. This went on for a short while. I just found it funny. Then the pettiness went to a new low.
Some of you will notice my thread within the feedback section of this thread. Basically I can’t change my avatar or signature…. At first I thought there was some sort of fault in the Matrix… I mean Forum. But a member of the Mod team was kind enough to put me right.
In short… they’ve downgraded me to a restricted account. Apparently my posts are fine but my Signature and Avatar are unacceptable… Shame on me. Sorry if my signature and avatar offended any of you.
And in my demise I’d like to say the following to –
TMS – A lot of you think I hate them. Hate is such a strong word. Believe it or not I actually like the firm as a whole. What/Who I dislike is John Thorne. It’s his personality that really got to me during my ordeal. Despite what you “TMS LOYALISTS” say the guy isn’t 100% cool. On the plus side I admire him as a cut throat business man lol. I wish him and his firm all the best.
VXR/Wayne – I’m somewhat disappointed in you Wayne. I’ve always seen you as a cool person (we’re facebook buddies ffs lol. Can two fellas get any closer). Really felt good to be personally invited to the Regal Rolling Road day last year…. Even though you knew Id be turning up in some crappy Nissan Micra. Now you don’t seem to address me on the forum. Perhaps its because you now know that Aussie is a good friend of mine and that I wouldnt be too pleased about you speaking ill of him. Either way it’s a shame. Still love your Corsa though.

This was once a great forum until it was taken over. It’s no longer a forum run by VXR fans for VXR fans. It seems to have turned into a Vauxhall moderated forum for current and potential customers. A place where we can no longer say and express what we want. I personally am no longer a fan…. Of the forum. Still love VXRs lol!
