Yes robbo but as i said we have a demo to talk about and the game is close to release, however witcher 2 all we have is trailers and previews to go on

ive been outplayed ^^ i think its me tbh...maybe im just sooo excited for witcher 2 coming out ( huge witcher 1 fan ) that im a bit jealous of everyone talking about DA2...good or bad

Of course that contributes to the thread size, threads also tend to rapidly grow a bit before the release of the game too.

It is worth noting though that, while excellent, The Witcher is not a 'famous' game like Dragon Age was/is, largely because it came out several years ago but also because it was by a smaller company that couldn't market it as well, or for as long, as EA can. Or even if they could, they seemingly chose not to.

I really dont think there are any DA2 fanboys, most of the stuff in here is negative at the moment :eek:

There are no doubt plenty of DA:O fanboys though, which is fair enough as its a superb game.

Wha? The pc demo had a radial menu, just like how ME2 has (an absolutely identical) radial menu.

He was talking about radial menus for combat abilities, which the PC version doesn't have (well it may in fact have it for pad based gameplay, but why anyone would want to do it this way is beyond me). We get a task bar on which we place our abilities. The radial menu you speak of is for dialogue.

For the conversation choices that's spot on, but I assumed he meant 'in game' where on the pc you have a hotbar to select your skills.

Of course I wouldn't touch this game on a console, so I have no idea if that's right

Whilst I enjoyed DA:O, I don't think this should be called DA2 as it's nothing like the first other than a vague storyline relation.

Mm. The name will sell it to the masses though, so they wouldn't change it

Some of the screenshots being posted look good, and others look terrible. I dont think that is running on max settings though, its a low resolution to start with and there are some nasty looking edges which indicates the AA is low/off.

We shall see.

Too hard to start a new IP in todays climate.

I really don't like the combat, it's designed for a control pad it feels, using the m-kb was a nightmare.

Pretty decent on the whole, a few sevens which i expected. Pleased to see Eurogamer have given it a decent score, afaik they tend to not fall for release hype/bribes as much as other online reviewers.

Graphics:It looks better than the PS3 and 360 versions. But does that matter when it plays worse?

Entertainment:As much as it surprises me to say it, you should stick to the console versions
