Dragon Age 2 - * Official *

One of the joys of pre-ordering, the chance that your game arrives early and you get to play it before release.

Dragon age 2.....NOPE

Its got a freakin launch date check on the retail cd!

Theres a subtle meaning in there that answers that question and is a main reason why people love RPGS.

It is not that subtle, however I think you are trying to be too profound. Even with +15 choices, you are still limited to those choices. It is not true freedom to cover all possibilties.

You can only choose to do what the devs let you at the end of the day, whether there are 100 options or 2.

Geez, lets cut em some slack! DA2 is not the first game to do this.

Why?

because i choose to...

BTW - how many choices did Neo have?

1. die
2. join Matrix
3. Fight
4. I love you - stop slapping me?

Just a suggestion, but I guess it is less than 15.

BTW planetscape choices are not all like that - sometimes there is only 1 choice to continue the conversation.

you missed the point Ramdom...nevermind.

The depth of planescape choices also depended on how much you put into Intelligence stat as well i think.

Most annoying. My Signature Edition arrived today. No dice until midnight tonight. :(

It's Planescape: Torment.

You'll be pleasantly surprised by the depth of this game.

I am sure I will - just started playing and it is good so far

No I did not miss the point.

BTW I was never saying that DA2 could be compared to PST in anyway. infact I don't know what I am arguing about. Different games..... though I conceed that they should not be.

yes you did. You immediately listed the apparently very restrictive choices open to Neo as if it was evidence against what i was saying......

I'm not going to argue with you over whether you understood the meaning of something i was trying to impart....when its clear you didnt i should know after all lol...partly my fault because i just posted a few lines and a video with some cryptic lines from Neo and Smith.

Sorry but this is one of those realizations you will have to arrive at yourself.

I am now intrigued. What am I meant to realise? I will put my zen hat on and await your explanation with much anticipation.

Please be cryptic no more. Be blatent.

Best CRPG ever in my opinion, fantastic, intelligent writing. Black Isle / Obsidian never really caught a break, and just got stuck in Bioware's shadow doing contract work.

Torment is a masterpiece.

just went down the road to get my copy. Don't know wether to start it now though. I started DAO last week so that i could use the save game. only half way through though.

Whats everyone lese doing?
Starting normally, or using DOA save?

Won't be able to start it until 00.00am because that's the time ea unlock the game here.

With that in mind I suggest you carry on with Origins :)

fair enough. I don't feel like playing it anyway tbh.
I started DAO about 2 weeks ago to get ready for it, but tbh i'm struggling thorugh it. I have already completed it twice but don't have any saves:(

I am considering blitzing through it, skipping all the dialogue, as i know it all and just want the save:)

Yeah I did that a couple of weeks ago and have a save ready now.

I had only played it once before (and also lost that save :p) but I did use the skip the fade mod and almost gave up during Orzammar, God that part of the game does drag on..

just read the booklet. Definitely going to complete origins again first. I've got a few mods running. i looked at the skip the fade mod, as that bit drags on for me. I suppose it would be ok to install it now, half way through.

it also says that you can improt any save, regardless of whether it is a completed game or not.

although, most of the improtant parts happen late in the game, so it's probaly best to complete it again.

Don't know whether i wil bother with awakenings though.
