I've not played the game yet so I have no impression, but shouldn't you guys who hate it and have nothing positive to discuss go to threads of games you actually like? Or do you enjoy criticising the bad games more than praising the good ones?

We did like this game prior to actually playing the demo. We liked Bioware very much and always have done for over a decade.
This is what happens when such a company releases such a dumbed down game.

Anyway, whats wrong with easy games
They are lame and boring. Try playing Guild wars right now and going through Domain of Anguish with a 7 hero party. Amazingly mind blowingly difficult and next to impossible, but when you actually manage to get it done, it feels so indescribably amazing.
Meh, or even just try Magicka, Braid or VVVVVV. Those are real games, how can a game be interesting if its incredibly easy with no challenge?

in some games, it suits it better to play on easy. Halo, for example, You are supposed to be a great super soldier!! you really shouldn't be killed by a few grunts!!
Back on track though-
In origins, and RPG's in general, i usually play on mediumish early in the game and then up the difficulty as i progress. It is difficult to find the right balance in these games though as, when you get stronger, combat should really be easier
First play through i amost always play on easy though so that i can fullt concentrate on the story.
Its ridiculous really, bioware completely nerf their once brilliant RPGs into this, and people simply accept it and demand that no one complain about it.
I suppose you've never looked into a Civilization fans forum and seen the amount of hate over Civ V being just *slightly* worse than Civ IV and not living up to their expectations.
When this kind of crap happens in strategy games, just about every fan of the game and genre go mad. Yet when it constantly keeps on happening in RPGs up to the point of the ridiculous amount of stupidization in DA2, everyone expects people to accept it, adapt to new 'RPGs for dummies' genre and not complain about it at all.
I want the cRPG genre back. Simple really.

I don't think a Bioware game in the past has ever got this much bad press though. So maybe they will take notice.

That's ok, well i did say it's an average hack and slash RPG.Playing for a good few hours does give my opinion some weight, i really wanted to see for myself and not based on just a demo

To those with Nvidia cards and wanting to run high detail let alone DX11 may run into some performance issues!

I don't understand, every single review site said this was awesome, that's not coincedence when everyone else think it's average.
Are reviewers really that scared to give a triple AAA title a lower score these days? It's like the crappy films that come out and gets 5 star reviews but it's a shallow puddle of crap.

Hope that Nvidia issue is sorted out by tomorrow afternoon, as that's when I'll be able to play it. Won't hold my breath.
Apparently Edge magazine gave it a 6 out of 10. Then again they gave Origins 5 out of 10, so I don't know what to make of that.
