Well whos laughing now? The games released now, feel free to take a peak on the official forums and see the immense outburst of pure hatred from Bioware's fanbase, particularly from people who have been playing their games since BG1.
Bioware / cRPG fans HATE this game, and the direction that modern RPGs are now going in, mostly thanks to EA.

I thought that the foreshadowing in DA:O was pointing to it being a qunari invasion of Fereldon especially as they placed the most significant city of the other species there. That way your decisions in Awakening could've come into play like if you created the Silver Order or married Anora.
Don't buy it then. And as for that quote, anyone who includes 'I make more money than you' as an argument has already lost.
DA:O was a watered down rpg, this is just more so. I'll take it for what it is and enjoy it as best I can rather than weep over a genre that truely died ten years ago.

For the record, I don't think I've missed out on playing through more than a couple of Bioware's games since BG1, and I'm still enjoying this. It may not be a cRPG that Bioware are renowned for, it doesn't bother me though.
Regardless of what you, or any number of Steams infamous trollbase whine about, I'll still enjoy it. Enjoy your rage.

DA:O was a little watered down, but it still had a brilliant story, great production values etc.... This has nothing, a husk of a game really. I think it is almost unanimously accepted that this was a flop.
Also try to remember Bioware fans want to buy the games, they want to support the studio.. and then they release stuff like this.

Really, have you even looked at Biowares official forum yet?
So all the people who have enjoyed every bioware game up till this one and hate how DA2 has turned out are trolls? lol, if you think so.
Come on, surely you realise that a spurned computer gamer is the whiniest of whiners? I might bother to listen to other people after a week or two, but right on release? Too much hand wringing drama & not enough sense

No I haven't. As I mentioned, their opinion on the game is of no interest to me. I'm enjoying it and that's all that matters.
I'm not sure how the opinions of a stranger could be more accurate about my feelings on a game than my own first hand experience of it.
I'm not sure where I called every poster on the Bioware forums a troll though? They're certainly entitled to their opinions, just as I'm entitled to not give a toss about them and enjoy the game based on my own time with it.
Well, you think I'm a troll, but plenty of other users are 'trolling' far harder than I am on the official forums
As a side note i can't help but notice that nearly all of the big issues about the game that were present in the demo are resolved in the full game yet there's still 'something' that people don't like. DOF and the high texture pack makes it look pretty damn decent, especially considering how well it runs. The difficulty is much harder on the higher levels, high seems to be a nice level for me with very high giving plenty of headroom for replays. The loading issue in cutscenes is gone. The interface has been improved in little ways over the demo that make some nice improvements (you can now click on a portrait in a battle without being FORCED to level them up which is a god send as it was annoying in the demo).
Yes the camera angle is still a bit rubbish, but it's only a small complaint for me. It's still a good game so far, just not as good as DA:O. It's certainly a better game than the demo was though.

1. Were the gfx so much of an issue, that after they went gold they had to rush to create a texture pack as a 'bonus patch' to update textures to make the game look better?

Re-Used Areas, MMORPG Quests, Lack of Quests, Feels Dead compared to DA:O, Shops sell specfic Hawke weapons and armour(come on really?), Game was rushed because of EA. Shall i go on?, it's an AVERAGE hack and slash rpg but Go back to DA:O and Awakening with all it's dlcs, install the high res texture mods and i tell you now, it will look like DA2 was the prequel!.
DA2 is like a lord of the rings sequel created by a home studio, sure it may be called lord of the rings but it isn't the same!

At the end of the day though, you're a hypocrite who's given Bioware an excuse for this sort of standard by pirating the game, adding to statistics for them to bring up in articles about why DA2 didn't sell well. Their claims won't be because they forgot their roots and changed to a direction their original fans didn't like, it'll be because of piracy. It is because of this that i find it difficult to take anything you say on-board. Also, please stop linking content filled with swearwords.

Unfortunately they blatantly forgot to resolve the 'This is the single worst video game ever released by Bioware' issue that everyone is complaining about. Everything that Neil posted above sums it up completely. This game is a POS.

By the look of it though, that sonic game was probably better than DA2 is.

I HAVEN'T PIRATED IT nor do i want to, these entire reviews and posts are from other people. What i have played is not from this system, the only thing i have is DAO which i play every so often. Just because i said about jack sparrow was in offense of how bad the demo is!. I played DA2 on another system because i wanted to see for myself, do you see ANY screenshots from me? NO
Sigh, but then again you was in defence of the demo from the start anyway
