****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

I was about 12 then and I didn't get one until a year after they launched I think. I got F1, Worms, Pandemonium, True Pinball and X2 with mine. Not one of the 3DS games interest me sadly.
 
The thing with the 3DS is that admittedly the launch line up looks weak but it does have the entire DS catalogue to fall back on and while you wouldn't buy one just to play DS games they would definitely allow you to kill the time between now and when more games are released. That, and we don't know when a second shipment will arrive after the first lot have sold out.

That was the European DS launch. So this launch isn't half bad IMO.
 
So do we think that all games that come out for the DS under '3DS' will all have some 3D effect or will they continue to release games as 'DS' which have no such features? I just can't imagine them bringing out any 3DS games which don't have the flagship feature...

I for one will be happy if not all games implement 3D. It shows developers aren't sticking 3D in for the sake of it and it makes it less of a gimmick if it is only done when it adds to the game. You will of course get a bunch of games early on in the release of the 3DS that use it and it may seem like a gimmick as they are coming to terms with the technology.
 
Your lucky, I was made to play the demo they included over and over again as I couldn't afford a game. Great demo CD!

Nintendo must be laughing there asses off, this is there 5th reiteration of the exact same hardware... Ok this one has "3d" and can ruin the eyes of anyone 6 and under. Sounds like they sold their souls just so they can get a few steps ahead of Sony and their up and coming NGP.

The imagination of the nintendo hardware developers is laughable IMO

I'm going to wait for the Nintendo 3DSi xl version

How many Playstations have there been? I count 6, and that's conservative.
 
Your right, still atleast the next one will be a real hardware revision

I'm not saying one is better than the other it's just the laziness of it all

What are you talking about? This doesn't use any of the same hardware as the DS/DSi/DSi XL. It's a brand new CPU, GPU, RAM and displays. It's the next generation of handhelds, not a revision to the current gen.
