In Nightly 19 as of 14/03/2011:

•Battery drain finally fixed? (Can it be, FOR REALZ?)
•Proximity Fixed with use of the "always use proximity option"
•Apps2sd works, as well as loading stuff like angry birds from sd, hoorah!
•Wifi reconnects after sleep

I might wait a few more revisions, i cba constantly changing back upon finding bugs.
 
How do you set 'my number', the app on the market wont install?

I have a spare nokia to set it if needs be.
 
I've had this phone for ages now. Not moded. Why is it NOT advertised like other phones.
Everywhere you go you see the HDC and others advertised like heck but never the SF.
Did Orange shove this out for testers/mods to test it to heck before doing a better one.
My Battery runs out in Double Quick time when I got my GPS and/or 3G is on.
Should I switch both off or just leave the 3G on??

3G is your decision... do you use it while out and about? I wouldn't want to be switching it on and off every time I wanted to check my emails for example.

GPS really doesn't need to be on unless you're using it.

Wifi on (even not connected) all the time drains the battery very quickly... something to definitely be aware of.
 
I got my SF when I came over for my bro's b'day at the weekend. For £90 it's fantastic.

The stock 2.1 is streets ahead of whatever was on the G1 when it was released which is what my only real experience of Android was before, will be rooting and adding a 2.3 ROM soon though :)
 
Just updated to CM7 n19 after saying I wouldn't yet:p Definite improvement but battery life still sucks.

Also it might just be my phone, but texting is a little laggy in comparison to jj9/flb.

edit: ffs n20 and n21 have been released since I updated:p

My SF is DEAD....had a low battery warning but didnt get to charge it up until after the battery died. I put it on charge & i think there was a white flash on the screen but it happened so quickly not 100% sure. But i got nothing else no light to say it was charging or anything.

Left it over night but still nothing....Iv still got the original software on my phone but it has been unlocked....What iv googled so far is unlocking the phone will have void the warrenty, does any one know if this is the case?

Has anyone had any luck with orange replacing a SF even tho the phone had been unlocked?

I had the same issue with newer version's of clockwork mod. I'm now using 3.0.0.9 if I remember and have had no issues with any Rom..

Iv tried arranging a return over the phone but cos iv ported my number out they are not willing to help me out & have told me to take it to a orange store :confused: Im not actually sure what the difference will be guess il find out tomorrow when i take it.
