No, because he's arguably not the legitimate leader of his country if he's killing civilians (I'm not saying the rebels and the civilians are the same group). The fact you refuse to even entertain the possibility that such matters are debatable is frankly laughable and undermines your credibility (even more so than your ridiculous far right opinions do anyway).

Obama has ordered the execution of US civilians, do you know that? Is that different though?

Also the US regularly target and murder civilians of other countries, such as

Never mind though, it can always be justified when we do it because we're the good guys

this is disgusting me now..

from a no fly zone to a death zone, its becoming blatantly obvious this is everything but a land invasion , france/uk/america are going to bomb all of gaddafis army and let the rebels be the ground force....

i wonder if china , russia etc new about this when the UN vote was proposed? i reckon they didnt and im hoping china tells them to stop provoking gaddafi's forces. its a no fly zone not a kill all gaddafis tanks zone so the rebels can take the country.

its no bloody surpise iran was so desperate to get nukes its the only thing that can keep your country yours

The motion passed by the UN was not just for a No Fly Zone, it was for anything short of a ground invasion, so they were well aware and didn't choose to veto.

They dont?

TBH if they do they should be careful what they wish for. The no fly zone in Iraq lasted years, we deliberately bombed civilian infrastructure (supposed to be illegal) and 100,000s of civilians died due to the sanctions we imposed on basic medical supplies etc.

Just to reiterate, this is from the UN themselves:

18 March 2011 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for “immediate action” on the Security Council’s authorization of the use of “all necessary measures” to protect civilians in Libya, terming it a “historic” affirmation of the global community’s responsibility to protect people from their own government’s violence.

The Council yesterday passed a resolution permitting the use of all necessary measures, including the imposition of a no-fly zone, to prevent further attacks and the loss of innocent lives in Libya, where the regime of Muammar al-Qadhafi has conducted a military offensive against citizens seeking his removal from power.

Try to keep up with the resolution, what it states how its worded and what it allows hey?

That is an oppressive regime that is cracking down on protesters. Can you not see the similarities?

I see we're nit-picking. Haven’t you noticed that the current "situation" in Saudi Arabia bears no semblance whatsoever to the one in Libya.

By the way what are your views on the situation?

We should leave Libya to deal with it's own problems and abandon this shameful idea that we can police the world, when it suits us.
