Dragon Age 2 - * Official *

Does anyone know where you start or get the exiled prince mission to come up?

Ive installed it fine etc but its not coming up.

Im currently in act 2

Was it rushed? Definitely - even some of the devs say so. Is it bad for it? By no means no.

Or maybe, just maybe we actually enjoyed it for what it was? Origins was not stellar either (to claim otherwise id being delusional), but a lot of people enjoyed it for what it was.

You don't like it - so be it, but please stop reminding us about it.

Rushed but bad for it, yes, the story is unbelievably stupid. Without spoilers its really impossible to go into detail but, the story, start to finish is absolutely ridiculous and the rushed part being responsible. If they had time and built several more key area's like in DA:O preferably ones that arne't just copied and pasted with the wrong map, then the story would have been different aswell, taking you to those area's, giving more scope to the story, expanding it, with less filler and more substance, and maybe making it less utterly retarded.

INfact I would guess they were trying to do more, had unfinished area's and had to chop and change the story to fit into what they could finish. The characters, one in particular, makes absolutely no sense, at all, the others randomly change their entire outlook on life just to fit in with the story, the whole game is a "decision" and asks you to generally go one way or the other(in the story and love life :p ) yet at the end, you can change the decision several times via WOEFUL dialogue.

At the end of the day, I'm playing an interactive STORY, the story was rubbish, and it was almost certainly rubbish because it was rushed.

It wasn't terrible to play, my computer didn't literally punch me in the face as I went around picking up metal spoons or flawless diamonds, both worth 7 copper, from complex chests that you would think might have gold bars, or a shiny weapon, no they are keeping a metal spoon in a treasure chest. It was rather fun, combat was between fun, and boring, is it cool to see people explode, sure, is it fun when every fight is identical, easy, stupid screen fills up, I can't see all that much and everything explodes with no effort, that was 60% of the game for me.

When I finished, because the story was so bad, and fell to pieces at the end, I felt like all that effort went into a character, with a game that asked me to decide what kind of person he is based on decisions throughout, that couldn't do what he wanted, at all, at the end.

Last night at my friends place i was able was able to have Two Lesbian Affairs, both with the elf and the sea lady :D. I used to have a welsh gf in real life, shame that she was an alcoholic and bipolar, her accent was a right turn on :(

I personally thought this game was very enjoyable and currently playing it the 2nd time round in Nightmare with the new DLC installed

how long is it taking everyone?

I'm 16 hours in, and as i can't sleep, i'll probably play it from midnight 'til about 4 in the morning:(
think i'll finish it?

I reckon it might be best the second time around, there seem to be a lot of decisions which could affect the outcome.

Gameplay question, I'd read there was a spirit healer specialization? How does that get unlocked.

Playing 2h warrior, sister on the mage slot but there is no spirit healer skill tree on her points screen.

I think you may need to take yourself, and games, less seriously. They are a little bit of fun in between work, shopping, athletics training/guitar (or whatever people like doing) and sleep.

Nothing wrong with holding gaming in a higher regard than 'just a little bit of fun' between shopping trips. We need gamers who take games seriously and are critical of releases when justified. Afterall, what would be the point of all the money, time and effort spent in producing games, if we didn't have gamers who take games seriously?

You may rather go shopping or twiddle around with your guitar, some people prefer gaming.

I'm not sure if you're trying to prove his point? What he's trying to say is that at the end of the day, regardless of how into it you are. Gaming is only a hobby, it's designed to be fun and should be.

I'd think games are a pretty big part of my life, they're not my entire life though. Imo, if you're getting to a point where games mean so much to you that you don't partake in other activities in life... Well each to their own...

I ducked out of some of the argument over this game a while back because it just got beyond sad to me. People getting this serious over a game is no different to someone raging out over the plot of Eastenders imo. Especially as people are just raging about the same thing they've posted just pages before already.
