Probably because you don't have a resource that they need therefore not really beneficial. Also factions may have maxed out their trade capacity.
They got capacity, you can't offer a trade unless they do. They just don't want to trade

What wrong with using the pause and slow-mo option? Why do you want the enemy to walk slower across the map? I always put it on FF until the fight about to start.
Greatly. It's not perfect, but certainly at it's very best so far!
I got the limited edition, can anyone else tell me where exactly the extra content is? I activated it on steam and it seemed to do an instant d/l, if any (I think I noticed a screen flicker lol) but I can't tell what extra I payed for? I don't see a 'ninja' clan anywhere and I don't know which of the random bits of armour was included :S
pausing is actually cheating. You can pause the game plan your strategy while the ai cant do nothing its turned off while your cheating.

Being able to pause the action and think about your decisions has always been a part of the Total War games. It's by no means cheating. If we could think as fast as the AI we wouldn't need to pause. You could say the AI is cheating for being able to calculate all of the possible permutations virtually instantly but with our ability to pause it all evens itself out.

You're the one who thinks an inherent game function to the TW series is 'cheating'. Your post about it was so ridiculous that I assumed you were trolling - it's one thing saying it isn't for realism purists, and another insisting that it is a cheat. Have another rolleyesand keep your insults to yourself.
Its not technically cheating though, even if you think it is.
Explain please, i might be right or wrong. Im kinda curious now to why it aint cheating.
I can see what you mean by saying its cheating, but it is infact a specific game mechanic designed to be taken advantage of/used.
Are you going to say its cheating because you have a camera flying in the air when that is historically inaccurate? Where do you draw the line?
You should have got a leaflet in the box or been given an unlock code by steam if you bought it from there. You then go up to the games tab in steam, click activate steam product and then enter the code. This will unlock the extra content and give you access to the Ninja clanhope that helps.
Its a little known fact that Chinese Laterns were first used for this with little boys/midgets tied to them to give an aerial view of the battlefield. First known MAVs...Are you going to say its cheating because you have a camera flying in the air when that is historically inaccurate? Where do you draw the line?
I'm completely new to Total War, have been getting my butt whooped in the last two days by the AI on the campaign. Haven't actually done many proper battles yet as I'm trying to get my head around winning the turn based system first.
Must say it's one of the best freebies I got with a piece of hardware (came with my i5), in a long time. Much better than Far Cry 2. But guess that's personal preference.
But yeah, I've done a lot of auto resolving battles for now so that I can speed through the campaign slightly faster. Once I've completed the campaign on auto resolving I'll probably work towards be able to do the battles better as frankly at the moment I'm atrocious at it at the moment!
