*** I LOVE ENGLAND/UK - MY HOMELAND! ***

This country is a mess, majority of industry is all overseas as we don't make anything any more. British heritage is nearly non existent due to the amount of trash we let in from Eastern Europe and the Middle East. About the only thing we have left is history, that's about it.

If you have the money get out while you can, this is a sinking ship.

We have the pub:

and we have history:

The pub will soon be extinct and replaced by gay bars.

The thread is cheesy I admit, but I dont care :D

Not so great that people cant read the OP and post only positive comments. I thought capital letters would have emphasised that point enough.

Nevermind!.

Keep good comments coming, I feel patriotic right now lol

And Scotland is stunning, Ive seen fantastic sights since moving up here.

Brighton is awesome, it's the best. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else at the moment :)

I grew up in Buckinghamshire and will always love it, all the villages and towns along the Thames and all the green fields and copses.

Go England :)

That's probably due to homesickness rather than anything else i'm guessing a few years building friendships etc and you'd change your mind.

Perhaps. I suppose it's hard to pinpoint the exact reason. It wasn't missing my friends/family or my gf as I was travelling with her and I always knew I'd be returning to my mates/family. I don't think I ever sat there ant thought, "Damn this would be so much better if Dan was here", or "Wish I could could go for a pint with some mates right now".

Maybe it's creature comforts, things like shops being open all hours of the day and being within reach of shops and amenities so easily.

Probably more due to the culture though. I couldn't hack the rudeness of some cultures, or even silly things like any form of American accent. I don't think I could ever adjust to some of those things even after many years.

I think I'm just set in my ways and like where I am right now!

REALLY??!??

I've spent 3 years there now and its trash, shopping is pants, as is west street, cant go out at weekends for all the stag and hen doos and moulsecoombe...well...yeah. Although riding along the seafront in summer is nice.

I have a large Union Jack in my room.

Cheers me up when ever I see it, and kick starts my day when I wake up to it.
