Finally got it to run in CrossFire without the flickering

I've been trying to get RadeonPro with the Bioshock profile thing to work and it seems that all I needed to do was to enable vsync as well !

Oddly, with the same settings, enabling vsync has lowered my gpu temps by 15 degrees

Well over the last week I've replayed Crysis & Warhead and I've just fired up Crysis 2. A few questions....

How can I sort the controls to be like the others? Wheres crouch toggle, zoom toggle, suit strength/suit speed etc.? My only graphics options are gamer/advanced/hardcore? They just loop around which one is the highest lol, i thought there was extreme!? Wheres the map/current objective screen now? Why is the aim down sights sensitivity the same as the normal view sensitivity?

Whole game feels rushed so far, but I'm sticking with it as the first two were bloody fantastic I'm confident Crytek have made a good game here.

The objectives are now in your Visor, put that on to see what to do. As for the toggle and graphics options use this app

It gives you option to enable toggle crouch and zoom, among other things.

Boxed UK "Limited Edition" but I think all of them are the Limited Edition aren't they?

That's just the normal DirectX install files. Same thing you'd download from MS.

Been playing this a bit more, it definately has some of the best graphics on PC, even with all the complaints.

Just played a good 20 minutes and had to turn it off. Got sick due to all the motion blur.

Looked good and shooting dudes felt good. Sound was the best part.

There is a DirectX10 DLL in the install folder, maybe Crytek will enable DX10 soon?
Or is there a way to enabl ethis DLL:
d3dx10_42.dll

I added the below commands to my autoexec.cfg to disable AA & motion-blur:
g_skipIntro=1
r_motionblur=0
r_UseEdgeAA=0
r_PostMSAA=0
cl_crouchtoggle=1

Im refusing to play the game because the graphics are worse than Crysis1 from 3 years ago & multiplayer dont work.

Waste of money.

I actually think the graphics look better. I was playing it on extreme and my stystem can also handle crysis one on max settings.

crysis 2 looks better.

really? your not going to give the single player a try? the graphics are actually really nice in parts. I dont get what everybodys issue is as when the 1st was released people moaned they couldnt run it! This is a decent game and some people are going way over the top. In fact i bet you do play this game and are just typing rubbish to look like your making a stand for the pc gaming community. I have spent a ton on my set up but you dont see me crying over the visuals

I'm on the fence mate. I don't love it, as i'm not a particular fan of FPS's anyway, but i'm certainly going to play it before making up my mind and i'm going to enjoy it for what it is.. quite a few people seem to have made up their mind before even playing it, then confirmation bias takes over so that every screenshot they see confirms that they were right, and every bad rumour is true.

it's like in the DA2 thread. i defended it from the posters who were knocking it without playing it, and picking up every little detail that was wrong, without saying anything positive. But after playing it, i joined in with the criticism (as it is a terrible game.)
But at least i gave it a chance

Personally, no, i don't think it is as good as the first one(crysis 2, that is), but i will not let that spoil my enjoyment. and if, after playing it for a while, i do find myself disappointed or not liking the game, i will say so.

Oh, and that mele glitch is bad. Had it happen in multiplayer earlier. very annoying.

btw, does anyone like motion blur? first thing i do with most games is turn it off

I only questioned someone who said that they played it for 20 minutes and based their 'review' on that.

i would never mock someones opinion. i would just ask that they give the game a chance, and try and play with an open mind

yup i seen this, considering after the into and sub its about 20 mins in so nothing has happend! like it has been said people decided on this before release. I have been pleasently suprised to be honest its a decent game so far. not amazing but defo good
