***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

check some of the mods out and get the config tweaker to adjust fov and alsorts

Yeah, I have that. Silly game devs and their console fov's.

takes a bit of tweaking but looks better than bf3 when you get it right

Hmm really? I think BF3 looks better than Crysis 2. BF3 feels like a somewhat equivalent of real life. Not fantasy like, like Crysis 2. I love the way how the lighting changes all the time in BF3.

BF3 could really do with getting rid of the camera lens glare though. I don't get the purpose of that though. Playing through a camera...

Cheers for that, the automatic update had not included those (essential IMO) patches.

There seems to be re-spawning enemies in Crysis 2! One of the many things I loved about Crysis and Warhead (once I finally, years later, got a system that could actually play them properly) was that there is no permanent enemy-multispawn, as a game “mechanic” it is laughable and immediately destroys the immersion for me in any game (‘I just cleared that room, how come people keep materialising and sprinting out of it?” It is absolutely head-wrecking).

Some levels don’t seem to have it, others do, it’s ruining some levels for me, are there any mods to turn it off and make Crysis 2 actually like a sequel to Crysis? Apologies if it’s already answered in the thread but I can’t see it in the last couple of pages and there are over 3,000 posts.

Having just completed it, I can only say it was an excellent game. I feel a bit guilty for only buying it in a Steam sale, for a pittance, because it really would have been worth a few quid more.

I didn't go around looking at the textures up close, because that's not even a factor in how I appraise my games :p It looked great to me, it played very well, and I was not disappointed by any aspect of it.

Worthy sequel to Crysis and I'm looking forward to the third game.

What?
It has gaping plot holes, doesn't explain anything, has nothing to do with the original.
Pathetic comic tie in to bridge the gap which killed off Nomad and the lass and introduced time travel and other crazy stuff.
