The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

Still runing the iphone 3gs, i think by the ime my 24 month contract is over, iphone 5 will be out, and thgen I'll have a real dilema on my hands, stick with apple or ditch it for an android.

I have to say though, that this android looks like the skoda of smartphones. It doesn't look that great, and the internal componenets are probably sub-par.

Nothing is worse than being cheap and buying a cheap gadget and then realising that if you spent a bit more you could have got something a lot better.

Bought one of these a few days ago and followed the guide at http://www.orangesanfrancisco.co.uk/ to put the SS RLS3 rom and it seems great for the money but I no experience of any other Android phones.

One question I do have is, on the power widget on the SS rom there are 6 icons but I don't know what 2 of them do.

From left to right
1. Wifi
2. Bluetooth
3. GPS
4. ? (SDcard shape with 2 arrows)
5. ? (circle with 2 arrows inside)
6. Screen brightness

4 = data enabled toggle
5 = auto-sync toggle

I think you'll find there's the clocked and std clock versions for download on modaco.

It says overclocked out of the box, the AHB overclocking is a separate entity.

Still on FLB r6 because I want a rom as close to stock Android as possible, not a million and twenty things I don't want or need.

I'm having issues with Clockwork mod

fastboot method

Unplug the USB cable, turn off your device and take out the battery
Replace the battery and turn the device on holding the 'volume up' key. The device will stay at the 'green android' screen.
Plug the device into the PC.
From a command prompt run 'fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-blade-2.5.1.8.img'
When this finishes, from the command prompt run 'fastboot reboot'

When I turn the phone on and hold the up button, it doesn't stay on the Android screen, the phone just boots up as normal.

Any advice?
