Yes, definitely worth it.

Ignore everyone and play the demo for yourself.

The comments I read on here and various other websites nearly put me off buying the game, however I enjoyed DA:O so much that I decided to give it a try and got the demo.

Fantasic game IMO, I am now ~15 hours in. Most of, if not all of the comments in this thread are opinion.

Get the demo and try it.

Hate to tell you but, 90% of the negative comments are accurate!

Stil doesn't mean it's a bad game, but to some that might be :p. Personally i'd wait till it comes down in price :) £20 would be a better deal
 
tbh, i really defended this game from a few moaners who just trolled the game without playing it. But after completing it, and having time to mull it over, i have to say that it was very disappointing indeed. Everything is just far too dumbed down and the recycling of locations is almost unbelievable.
the story (what little there is of it) also makes no sense what so ever.

I would give it a generous 7/10 as it is still fun in places, but an incredibly lazy game.
There are a lot of people(trolls) who hate this game for the sake of it without even playing it, but as someone who has played it with an open mind(i was really looking forward to it), i could not in good concsience recommend it to anyone:)

Well thanks for the honest assessment. I think I'l wait on this one then.

How many hours game play do you thinks its got?

I clocked around 60hours in Origins, and I wouldnt say I was doing all the quests etc..
 
almost all of the quests took me just over 20, but i couldn't be bothered to do some because i just didn't want to go back to the same location again so many times!
i only had it on normal difficulty though, because i always do on games in my first playthrough

Oh man, what a pile of **** can someone explain to me how they can have ****ed up the difficulty so badly?

Unless im missing something, the game for the most part is pretty damn easy (playing it on hard) untill i fight the rock wraith at which point it becomes impossible. I have tried to kill this guy maybe 20 times? Get him down to half health before he stard using his broken "attack that hits you even though you are about 10 meters further than the animation" move that happily 2 shots anything that isnt a tank......

What a waste of time
