I've finally done it. As of the 27th of April I will be moving into a 3 Bed Semi with a mate from work (Who wants a bigger place).. now moving into my own place has it's advantages (obviously) as I have chosen where I want to live as at the moment I travel aprox 20 Miles to work.. this has been educed to 1.5 Miles which makes my life a lot easier (That and the extra hour in bed!)

I have one question... when will that strange feeling disappear? it still hasn't sunk in that i'll be leaving what I call my 'Comfort Zone' and into my own place (Rented but still) i'm excited yet scared out of my witts!

For those who want to see it:

What's to be scared of? You've just massively improved your lifestyle and, if your experience is anything like mine, you'll suddenly find you get on a lot better with your parents now you only have to see them every couple of weeks or so :D.

Congrats :).

Congrats on moving out of your comfort zone, but it's only 20 miles. Rent is gonna be far more expensive than driving the extra 18.5 (x2) miles every day.

the strange feeling of your sunday being eaten up with washing and not having food on the table when you get home from work, looking at your bt bill and noticing that line rental has gone up 50p p/m and trying to get your head around just how much the a holes must be making? oh, that never goes away.

Not really as it's really not that much more expensive than what I pay at home as I do pay my parents to live here ;)

I could walk it tbh.. but whether i'd want to do that on nights...

In case you were wondering why a 3 bed? the 3rd Bedroom = Games room :D

been in my apartment for about a month n half now and took about 2 weeks to get used to it, not as good as its made out to be but still better than living with parents. :)

Once you got your crap sorted out (unpacked, posters up etc), lived there for a week, get into your routine then you'll be fine.

Congrats mate,

I have been in my own place (well mine and hers) for coming upto a year now and i still don't feel at "Home"
Mum and Dad's will always be classed as home to me, i think.
