Yep also agree with Lost Odyssey, it's also reminiscent of FF7 in many places due to some of the people involved in making it.

Assassins Creed 2 - Look up the back story videos on Youtube first though for an idea of what you are getting into. (Don't bother playing the original, it's waaay to repetitive).

Probably the best JRPG on the 360 in my opinion. It's a very good game but you might find the first hour or so a little tedious. However, once you acquire Jansen and Seth as party members the game livens up and the story just gets better and better.

Blue Dragon is also another good JRPG but Lost Odyssey, in my opinion is the better game. Both are usually very cheap if you look around online.

If you can find a copy Tales of Vesperia is also a rather good JRPG in the more action combat variety, seem to remember that taking 50 hours or so too, and probably my favourite RPG on the system.
