... you get an MP4-12C for completing the 24 hour ring endurance race? What in the hell... that should be a top level LM car at the very least like a Sauber Mercedes :|

The thing I find strange is that all the prize cars are available to purchase taking away the incentive to race the endurance races.

IMO the rewards should be totally unique cars, not random cars you can also buy for a few 100k.

This sounds odd.. are the smoking tyres showing red on the little temperature diagram thingy? Which tyres? Are they really smoking constantly even once you're up to speed on a straight?

this can happen (not had it happen to me yet) but there is a video on youtube of someone doing it in a merc on cape ring one of his rear tires starts to kickout loads of smoke when it wears down.

yes.. yes when your tyres are worn they have less grip
and yes, mercs are known for spinning up their rear wheels and yes, when wheels spin, they make smoke.

The question is, are Jaybee's tyres slipping all the time, even when not worn, are they smoking without actually slipping, etc. etc. if so it sounds like a bug. Might be fixed in an update, obviously jaybee hasn't updated in a while so uh.. yea.

Its not impossible that they're spinning all the time because the car is set up badly:

Comfort hard tyres
LSD with "tweaked" settings
All the engine mods
Putting your foot on the gas too much

= Awesome drifting fun

Of course its no fun if you're trying to race seriously

Speaking of which I really enjoyed the new Lambo seasonals, even with the most powerful stock Lambo available (The SV) using sports hard tyres as the other cars were made the racing REALLY close. to the point where I couldn't win Trail Mountain because the car would get very unsettled and loose traction over the slightest bump :mad:

Made it eventually though

These are the sort of seasonals I want to see more of. With compound prize money too

A lack of LSD will cause trouble too

But for them to still be spinning all the way down a long straight is very unusual indeed.

Oh guys also if you want a free special edition GTR go to GT5s website, sign up to GT Academy and do the race on GT5. Upon completion you receive a ticket for the car. Enjoy!

Yeah nice races with a 575PP Lambo - afraid they arent compound prize seasonals though

I don't believe you, completely stock, no suspension, diff, nothing? You didn't use SRF or ASM or anything like that?

Torque vectoring centre diff was the only mod on all but Trial Mountain, I then needed a stage one light weight to take it

(That took it to exactly 600 points) No ASM TC etc aids. Took quite a while, loads of restarts, but its possible.

Did you change the brake balance?
I just did the Nurburg on racing softs, which was easy enough

Anywho, I'm going to get lunch, watch a film, then go online, so y'all sort some multiplayer stuff out yea? *pokes dair*

Yeah it turns the chronic understeer into almost bearable understeer

even at 10:90 split the whole car will wash out wide if you stamp on the power mid corner

that engine does seem to have any power low down at all, so if you spin you loose so much time waiting for the car to respond that you end up at the back then rage quit

Interestingly (?) the final course was the easiest for me.....

By completing all of the endurance races you get a level 24 ticket which contains eaither of the 2 Formula 1 Ferraris or the Poly Digital Formula car.

At least its something.

Anyone having issues with the GT5 website for remote racing still - just impossible to get it working as it just keeps timing out or not showing me options to choose drivers. Bit of a joke attempting to remote race away from the PS3 currently...

I have 2 Formula GTs already and a Ferrari F2007 so that's not really much comfort heh.
