The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/WrestleMania_27_Script_Leaks_JR_s_Role_At_WM27_Match_Order.html

A copy of the WrestleMania 27 script has leaked out and we've got some exclusive details about tonight's match order and Jim Ross' involvement, courtesy of SEScoops.com.

We can exclusively report the following matches are the last four to go on tonight at Wrestlemania, as of 2:00 pm eastern time this afternoon.

The script now calls for Jim Ross to come out, and the Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole match to take place.

They will be followed by The Undertaker vs HHH.

That match will be followed by the 8-man tag team match.

John Cena vs The Miz, with The Rock’s involvement at the end, will close the show.

If that's right then I feel bad for the guys involved in that 8-tag match even more now having to follow Taker vs HHH!

Ordered this on PPV... Having some mates around to watch it. Tbh I haven't followed Wrestling for years, since I was a kid.

I heard the rock maybe making a comeback though? That was me sold, used to love him. :p

Err, why would the silly tag be so high on the card?

Unless there is a feeling that Taker is unable to go long due to injury.

i think he does offciallly deserve it. the guy is a household name now. as for who to pass it on to, (and remember at WM3, andre passed it onto hogan) i wouldnt know now, but who had ever heard of cena back in the day? who thought he would be as big as he is?
Cena may be a household name, but he is not a fan favourite. He is the FACE of the company and he gets BOOed out of arenas.

Cena doesn't deserve the torch yet.
Turn Cena heel (like Hogan and NWO) and wait a few years and then he might deserve the torch.

And it is not going to be Cena/Rock chants ... the fans will cheer Rock only.
Adult fans boo Cena mostly now.

Sorry to tell you this, but Cena has been carryng the torch since 2005.

Great job he is doing ... viewership figures are down, buy rates are down, and half the fans (ie any adults) boo him.

He does not DESERVE the torch to be passed on to him "symbolically" as yet, not unless he does a huge heel turn first.

The "Cena Sucks" chants are pretty clear on RAW, and there will be plenty more tonight at WM

Problem with Cena is his character is just so stale it's untrue he's been face for about 7/8 years basically doing the same 5 moves, the same catchphrases and pretty much no selling everyone!

His heel rapper gimmick suited him much better tbh, though the WWE would censor the hell out of it now compared to 2003. They probably don't even have to turn him heel just stop him being such a goody two shoes all American hero it just alienates him to anyone over 10!

The Rock and Austin were never booked like Cena is in their pomps everyone in those days had their turns as faces and heels it keeps their characters fresh and fans guessing.

It's a shame how WWE has pretty much forgotten/disowned it's adult fanbase in order to pander to kids, right down to them insulting fans intelligence by ignoring the fact HHH faced Taker at Mania 17 (in a classic match) and pretending it never happened rather than bringing it into the storyline as a reason for him trying to beat him 10 years on.

Cena has been the face of wwe from since 2005. He has been the main guy. You can't blame the numbers on him. We are living in a different world now. MMA is a lot bigger now while pro wrestling isn't.

I am not a fan of Cena and have never really been.. apart from when he used to rap.

Rock used to get mad hate back in the day with chants like "Die Rocky Die". Then we he left wwe in 2004, he would get booed like crazy when he made an appearance... by satellite.

I think the only reason people boo Cena is because we all know what will happen in his matches and how he is booked as super cena.... then again, Rock had his super Rock moments just like Cena... so, who knows.

Um .. in 2005 Cena held the title from April until Jan ... consecutively
In 2008 he held it from September 06 until October 07, consecutively ... and only dropped it due to an injury.

HHH has had some long reigns over the years, but that is over the YEARS!

Cena has been pushed down people's throats, kids may love him but adults have hated him since he dropped his edgy rapper gimmick.

Sorry but I don't understand what you're trying to say here.

I think his point is Cena keeps it for too long a period with no one else getting it in between.

I cant recall event but a prime example of how imo Cena gets everything too much is one of his latter matches with Orton were Orton tapped out with about 2secs left on last man standing clock? I mean really give it a break WWE that was sickening but of course it was Cena in the match so not too surprising either.

Then there is also Cena's lack of selling any move

The Rock SOLD that AA, watch the footage AFTER RAW went of air.

Cena would be up the second cameras are off and being all smiles with the fans bouncing around

you reliase his reigns were short, bruno sammartino had a reign that lasted over 7 years. till hogan beat andre he was undefeated.

the reason people still love scsa and the rock i think is due to longevity they were there for a few years in their prime and thats it. cena has beent he same for a LONG time. it was the same with hogan, fans were booing him before he turned heel because they were bored.

im sure if scsa rocky were going to this day we would be tired of them aswell.

and erm 2007 was the most profitbale year ever for the WWE, and the most money from a WM being WM23 that year. CENA was the man during that.

i would rather have long title reigns over the month/3month thing they have nowadays, gives creedence to the title that not many people can hold it, and once its gone its very to get it again, and the person who then beats that person for the title after a while is elevated high as he did something many other men failed to do.

I think the Rock oversells. Infact, remember when ever Austin gave him a stunner? He would almost do a back flip out of the ring. :p

I think long reigns are important. It gives the belt integrity and prestige and makes you care when it changes hands.

he sells perfectly for his character which is supeman. i dont hate cena, the guy has worked his arse off for the company and deserves the spot he is in, its the booking of his characted which is tired and boring.

remember before the rock became the rock, when he was rocky miavia peopel were chanting DIE rock, they hated him, and it wasnt heel heat, he was getting xpac, go away heat.

I agree but when it just ends up back with Cena all the time its abit of a snoore :P

As Shaffaaf said Cena has done really well for WWE but i think im at point were most people seem to be which is bored of him and want him to try something different like Heel it just wont happen thou

I think its also the fact that no one else at the moment is big enough to carry the wwe. HHH, Taker all sell tickets but their time has come and gone. They need someone in the present to sell their product. No one else fits that role but Cena. he sells merch like crazy. If he went heel, that might cause lose in sales.

very true. while it may be great for us, it will hurt WWE's bottom line. till they can get a face on the level of cena, that can sell merchandise the level or around the level of cena, there isnt a need to change him. its a business at the end of the day.

i do wish he would turn heel, dont get me wrong, i LOVEd him in that role aswell, but the PGness needs to go aswell. imsure 5 years down the line it will be and we will have an attitude era style revival. where the current cena fans have grown up aswell hitting their teens.
