Sucker Punch! Hot girls, Insane CGI, Robots, Samurai Robots, guns, etc!

An enjoyable movie. Wasn't expecting much but the action scenes were great. Probably the best looking dragon in any film, ever....

First thing i thought when i seen that dragon was "there's hope for Smaug yet"

As for the film watched it on friday and thought it was great if you didn't take it too serious, loved the way a situation was portrayed as a metaphor, made you think about what was going on in a little more detail.

Besides all that loved the fantasy aspect, hot girls, Hold up stockings over the top characters and general filming style for the fighting and Cinematography ...

Liked the neat plot twist at the end as well, nice touch considering how sweat pea's attitude was depicted throughout the film..

Well worth a watch, even more so on an Orange wednesday..

Saw this last night, really enjoyed it. I know it wasn't a very deep plot, but the general idea behind it was awesome, the production and CGI etc was all spot on.

Also this must be up for some kind of award for its sound track, epic score! Listening to the OST on spotify now. Also, Emily Browning is actually the singer of the Sweet Dreams cover, which is interesting :)

PS. The Cineworld Unlimited pass makes SO much sense, £13.50 and unlimited films, makes watching films that I'm only 50/50 about after seeing the trailer more feasable :) Also cheaper than 2 cinema trips without one.

Why is this a problem? Were you expecting Barb Wire?

My problem is its now a kiddie film! + to mention, eveyone blooming film is a 12A these days. What happened to the dark days of violence and controlversial plots??? Everything now is just kiddiefied for more £££. They don't cater for us adults anymore.

I suppose this is targeted at the hormone raging teenage boys on their Easter Holiday. Pretty girls, guns, action. The fact that it has a thin plot probably is a good thing for it's target audience.

It's definitely not a kiddie film. It simply doesn't have the blood and guts and swearing that would push it up to a 15. Bearing in mind that a 15 nowadays is equivilent to an 18 ten years ago. There's a lot of hidden subtexts that will go over a kids head but makes it darker for the adult watching it.

Anyone else gone to see it yet?

I line that I picked up off of IMDB that seems to summarise this movie pretty well:

"The style of the movie is an Otaku's wet dream"

Completely agree!

Shiny but thin.

I was wondering how they'd get in all the mentioned in OP and it turns out it happens because they are totally unrelated and turn up at a whim.

Soundtrack, graphics, great, plot, a bit meh.

I dont care about this, I want hot girls naked!!! lol Seriously, come one though! Everyone has got wind of it now and all directors and producers want to do these days is make a profit. Sli Stallone said it after he released Rambo.

Not true. The BBFC rate things differently than the used to. A lot differently. How many 18 rated movies are there at all these days? Even a lot of horror films fall into the 15 bracket.

People have changed, and the BBFC are aware of this. If you ever have a chance to go see any of their showings/lectures I'd advise you to do so.

this movie is terrible ... seriously bad ****. words actually cant describe how bad this is. i would say its THE worst movie i have seen in YEARS.

i love vanessa hudgens, i love spock but the ****ty script, average cgi, lack of any decent pacing, no consistant visual style just ruin this big time.

The whole begin to dance into random action scene bits just seem pathetic by the time your into the second one.
this movie would have been much better if it had just stuck to the actual story and the club subplot without going into any weird scifi, fantasy bs.

i would say that if you under 15 you would probably like this, but even people around that age in the cinema tonight were just as gobsmacked as me and the mrs.

horrible film............AVOID.

i dont mind films with a lack of decent plot, heck recently i watched Tekken ,yes Tekken the movie! and thats a bloody 10/10 compared to this utter sack of ****.

I didn't think it was terrible (Skyline still the best in that respect!) but certainly was very disappointed but this. I really think this would've benefited a lot more from a higher age certificate and darker theme but as it stands look like they basically dumbed the whole thing down to get some young boys into the cinema.

Violence and controversial plots do not make a film adult, nor does the lack of them stop a film being adult. There are many reasons why this film isn't suitable for adults, but that isn't one of them.

Went to the local imax on Monday as me and the gf wanted to see this despite the bad reviews and for the first half an hour i was thinking everyone had got it wrong but sadly it began to become repetitive and drag on into an incoherent mess.

The intro was however excellent!
