autographs

Got a few books that are pre signed when I bought them, V for vendetta and Watchmen, few CD's that have come pre signed as a pre order bonus thing. Sometimes get tickets signed by the artists depending who it is, but also have a chat with them.

As for waiting in a que for a celebrity I don't see the point

I was live engineering bands from around 1978 and now wish I'd kept an autograph book but they were all getting on the ladder then so just normal muso's.
I also supported a lot of famous artists over the years but never bothered them.
That imaginary autograph book could have fetched a lot of money.

The only autographed thing I have is the first Beatles album with all four signatures on it and signed by each member (they were well known for signing for each other) but it's probably only worth a couple of hundred quid.

My girlfriend has Patrick Stewart's autograph, and my brother went traveling across America and came back Peter Cullen's autograph, the voice of Optimus Prime :D

agreed with the OP, signitures on their own are a bit silly, but if they personalise it for you though, it makes it something a bit special

i do have a pretty sweet autograph though. because i won a story writing competition in my junior school (was about 10 yrs old at the time) i got a signed copy of Rolf Harris' animal stories, and he drew a rolfaroo in the book too :D

My sister has Spice Girls' first album signed by all 5 of them, inc Gerri Halliwell. Should have sold it at its peak tbh lol

I have Taylor Swift's autograph on a frame print :D

My bro just sold a signed U2 album for £300 or so, I bet yours is worth quite a bit tbh.

Oh, I forgot.

"One time, at Band Camp!" - Alysson Hannigan.

I have her autograph, along with Luke Perry (of 90210 fame), I even have proof as i got a photo with her :D

I have a friend who paid over £100 for the autograph of 'Jacob' from 'Twilight'.

Only people I would consider getting one from are Ronnie O'sullivan and the likes.

I have rolf harris's with his rolf-a-ru on (cartoon kangaroo with rolfs head sketched) and Jim Bowen (bulls eye)

Keep em for sentimental reasons as got when I was a kid but never made any effort to collect more. Don't really understand those who obsess over them but appreciate they can be worth money. Reminds me of the Alan Partridge crazy fan episode.

"Jed, I'll level with you. I'm really scared." :D

I think the only ones I've 'had', not even sure if I have them still are, Stephen Hendry, Mike Hallet, Jim Meadowcroft, Alison Fisher. (All snooker related). Might have had a few more, so long ago.

I have a unlistened to signed Chilly Gonzales album. Tried to give it away on here but no one knew who he was, nor did I actually - Entered a competition without knowing who he was. I do love a competition...

I got a whole book full of signatures from different artist and some other famous people but only because of my dad's job at the time.

I never cried though and I was only about 10 :D But as mentioned It's not that big a deal any more. I remember before when the only "personal" thing you could know about a celebrity was from reading magazines.

Just remembered I have this:

:p

Actually I was waiting for somebody to post who knew the real value.
An original Beatles album with 4 original autographs would be worth around £40,000 at least.
I wish I had one.

Aye but the majority of Beatles autographs are actually fake.
It's well documented that at the time the roadies and other people in the crew would "sign on behalf of the band".
So what people thought were legitimate autographs when they were done back in the 60s are now shown to be fake.

With Lennon and Harrison gone and Starr refusing to sign anything these days, anything authentic Beatles is worth a small fortune.

Got some liverpool players (Carra, Stevie) and a few ex players (Owen, Arbeloa)
no 'normal' celebs though.

Know someone with a signed Elvis Vinyl, must be worth a fortune.
