I always pay at the pump and can't understand why so many people still prefer to go inside and pay via their credit/debit card?

Dont trust it and always think points cards wont work.

Remember using one at Asda for the first time, it had the previous bill on it and i was so scared of putting my card in thinking it was going to charge me for that bill.

Might of just been that one pump though.

Are you sure you aren't comparing BP's 97 ron price with the supermarkets 95?

Yup, regular unleaded. It has dropped slightly as it was 8ppl difference not so long back. Unsurprisingly its fairly empty there. Our store does a fuel run most weeks to check the prices of the local stations and bar BP we are one of the most expensive petrol stations. Sainsburys & Morrisons are currently 128.9 yet we are still sitting at 131.9 for unleaded, there seems to be no interest in dropping our prices to compete. Then again when the forecourt is packed with idiots willing to pay why would we

I just go to Tesco if I'm close, have time and under half tank.

I'm aware of the prices, but I rarely look at them, or even shop around.

I also find, and have commented in the past, that BP are usually significantly more expensive than the local competition.

But given that you've told us you never look at the price I dont see how you can argue otherwise

All the sarcasm in the world can't hide the fact that when you posted that you didn't believe what the guy had posted.

It wasn't a case of not believing what he said. The price difference just looked similar to the difference between 95 and 97 octane rating, that's all. I questioned it yea, but I wasn't calling him a liar.
