I'm not sure how I did it but I just made it through the endless 8.![]()
Are you sure you didn't watch the first couple, fall asleep and just thought you'd seen the other 6?
It looks like Clannad After Story is finally in stock at TRSI (yes it's not reached the release date yet, but the movie has been in for weeks), so hopefully that will ship tonight/Monday![]()
Oh you should have seen the Internet nerd rage when the endless 8 was being aired. It was quite something.

I just plunged in and watched all of High School of the Dead. Completely OTT on the nudity etc but an easy to watch anime over all. Too bad there isn't much of a real ending to it all.
The most annoying part is the amount the main artist who did the soundtrack ripped off western artists. Hollow Men by Kurosaki Maon is possibly the biggest rip I've heard in a while!
Short Synopsis: Our lead characters are a bunch of mutants who fight crime.
That was actually… pretty amazing here. Seriously, this episode hit a ton of right buttons, and sets the X-Men already one step higher above Wolverine. The graphics were utterly gorgeous, the atmosphere is just awesome, and already this show has put in a lot of characterization for its five main characters: Xavier, Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine and Beast.
Anyway, I’d put it at about Wolverine’s level, but without an OP entitled "Feel My Claws," so in overall entertainment value, it’s a step down from what was already little more than a joke to begin with. A surprise, I know. The new character designs succeed only in making the show even harder to take seriously, but it is so chock full of melodrama that who even knows anymore. Thank goodness there’s only one of these Madhouse disasters left.
Got round to watching the Blu Ray for TGWLTT today (I was determined to wait til i had time to give it my full attention, instead of having it on while doing something else).
The visuals looked really nice, although not as impressive as stuff like the Haruhi Movie, Macross Frontier, or 5cm/s in hd. I still think it's a great film thats well written with believable characters.
I really like how the first half of the film focuses on Makoto drunk with power as she time leaps, and then come the series of very real and believable sucker punches, showing that every action, no matter how trivial can have unforseen consequences. It's very nicely laid out imo. I've seen allot of tv/films that use time travel as a plot device, and this ranks as one of the best executed examples.
Evangelion 2.22 ... Ok, may be a bit controversial here but I just finished watching this on Funi's BD release and I can't say I really thought that much of it. Admittedly I am not particularly a massive fan of the original series and admittedly this new film does look and sound very good. But the plot is well .... it's very Evangelion ... With the original series I thought that it started off ok and then got further and further up itself as the series went on ... this film, for the most part, would fall under "up itself" and gets worse as the film progresses. None of the characters in the film are particularly likeable, particularly the male lead, and whilst the new(?) female pilot had potential she wasn't in it enough to really make an impression.
If you do watch it then there is a tiny bit extra and a trailer for the next film at the end of the credits.
