My brother bought the intel 510, seeing as he has no SATA 6 ports he bought the Asus U3S6 add in card. Windows installs fine and the SSD works, but the speeds are a little less that he hoped.

Comparing to a review site, his sequential reads are quite different, anyone got any ideas why the speeds are slower?

they look like sata II speeds, that don't seem write to me,
1) are you sure he using the correct settings (controller and bios and also driver in windows)
2) is he using a SATA III cable

I installed the controller driver which has made some difference, but the controller posts as being in SATA III mode, still missing some performance, any other bios settings that may be impacting the speed?
