UK student joins rebel forces in Libya, to be honest with you.

Seems like a brave guy wanting to do his part to free his country's people. If half the uk had his balls and patriotism these days it would be a good thing. Some of the comments about him hopefully getting killed are disgusting.

Don't really have a problem with it, ok he's absolutely retarded and probably gonna die but it's better than the 12 people standing on my uni entrance steps chanting doing **** all, at least he's putting his money where his mouth is, so to speak.

Well mine for example was a joke, I wouldn't really wish death on an innocent person.

However, you have to laugh at him. He's stood there in Libya in an ebayed flak jacket with an AK-47 he's never fired, and his shades on trying to look like a hero.

I dont think he's there to fight, he just wants some attention.

That AK will give him a sore arm/shoulder when he does, if he doesnt spray everyone first.

If he has no experience at all, then he is a fool.

To be honest with you basically I would fight for Queen and Country, for Commonwealth and Nation.

What's the average UK student doing? Getting wasted, lobbing fire extinguishers at Police and trashing Fortnum's .

Indeed.

I would fight for the good people of this country, but unfortunately they seem to be rapidly diminishing in number (due to foreign spongers, or student thug protesters, etc).

It's a good thing he's going to fight for democracy and what he believes in. I hope he has an impact on the rebels even if it is just a humorous morale boost lol.

To be honest with you I think he needs a few days training with that rifle, basically. Otherwise basically he will be useless to be honest with you, basically. I remember when I was in the cadets even holding the rifle in prone position made my arm ache, I was about 14 at the time though. Got a nice grouping after few practise sessions though =P
