UEFA Champions League/Europa League 5/6/7 April *** Spoilers ***

The Ranocchia deal is odd, they bought half of the rights to him in July(was Benitez in charge then?) then bought the other half from Genoa in Jan for 12.5mil euro's aswell, seems like it was one of the cheaper options after Samuel's injury. Only seen him a few times but, he seems completely inept, and assuming his real value for whole rights to the player were valued at 25mil, I just can't see it.

I take it Mourinho spent a lot while there, though you would think the Ibra deal would have made them such a buttload of money. Pazzini was a good buy at 13mil but, they need defensive cover, clearly.

Lucio had a ban from previous round so was out, Cordoba, only seen him a few times this season and he's looked awful when I've seen him, didn't he use to be a great player?

Surprisingly, Lucio is only 32, Samuel only 33, they look ruddy old(Lucio looks ancient) but as CB's could do another few years, though Lucio seems to have lost what little pace he had already.

Without being a geek and finding the quotes, im sure the Inter president said after Maureen left that he was looking to reduce the wage bill because the squad was too big.
So it would suggest that he did spend quite a bit, even if the fees were recouped with the Ibra sale, 1 out and 4 in costs a lot more in the long run.

Im not a spurs fan but i really think spurs should rest a few key players for the 2nd leg , ok they dont want to be humiliated by madrid over the two legs but there's no shame in losing heavily to a team like madrid.

Whats more important for spurs is staying in the champions league for next season ,i personally think all effort should go into the league now.

Do you think Harry will put his best team out in the 2nd leg?

Feel a tad sorry for the Spurs even though i shouldnt, went down like a sack of spuds:p....i caught the game at around the 60min mark when they were 2-0 down...bloody Adebayor scoring a couple was a surprise to me as usually he cant hit a barndoor at 5 paces lol.

Thought the 3rd goal by Di Maria was simply sublime...what a stunning goal that was and the 4th by Ronaldo...well Gomes should have saved that...what an absolute gimp he is....no disrespect to our own Gimp lol:p.

But having that lanky idiot Crouch sent off didnt help Spurs at all...from what i saw of the game, it was all Real with Spurs always defending.

It was a good run for the Spurs...they had some pretty easy games up the Real game..they werent really tested till last night and they fell apart...had Crouch not been sent off, i dont think Real would have spanked them that hard but i couldnt and cant see Spurs clawing themselves back into this in the 2nd leg...4 goals is a bloody lot to come back and Real will probably score a few at WHL.

Good run Spurs, you did better than you were expected to...this coming from an Arsenal fan who should, in all honesty be laughing at how the Spurs capitulated but i cant as i feel kinda sorry for the Spurs.

yeah as good as inter and AC milan are i dont think spurs had been tested until last night.

I also think they should rest players for the 2nd leg and put all the concentration on getting 4th spot in the league

Ranocchia played well against Bayern but losing Lucio and Samuel has really hurt us this season. Cordoba has lost a bit of pace and also his timing and decision making is off. Ranocchia is a good prospect but he needs to play alongside someone at CB with experience who can hold the line.
