Buying it and controlling it are not the same thing.

i have no sympathy for the rebels at all gaddafis army gets bombed even if its not a civlian threat, his defensive lines get bombed the rebels are free to attack cities and whatever they like regardless of the civilians the un resolution is suposed to protect.

The UN resolution is fine NATO's interpretation and the lack of complaint about it from the UN are the mockery. The way NATO are choosing to classify any Loyalist heavy weapons as a threat to civilians is laughable and the wording of the NATO missions statement is also ridiculous.

Surprise, surprise, Libyan tanks and armoured vehicles all look the same no matter which side you are on.
nevermind the UN resolution they used to justify all the bombings ,they will completely disregard it when they realise a bunch of terrorists and weekend warriors cant take the country.
realisticly you could probbaly go in with 50 tanks and take pretty much the country back if you let the rebels clean up the wake.

I agree entirely that we will see NATO ground troops in Libiya before long but I suspect they will go back to the UN and get a wooly worded resolution to cover it.
Defeating Gaddafi's forces is only half the battle as we have discovered in Iraq and Afghanistan winning the battle for hearts and minds as well as fighting insurgents is not easy or quick. The other problem as I see it is that they will only go and replace one crackpot dictator with either another one or some corrupt nobody as we have seen in Iraq and Afghan.
Well that's his media career in the west over.
Sadly people who teach the public something about real life are discredited and or killed.

He also may not be working for the CIA any longer but will obviously be keeping up to date with events as this is his field. I thought it was a good analysis of the events.
