maybe you should stop believing everything your told and start to question the world around you?

Just to be clear, am I to stop believing everything I am told or am I only to stop believing everything the MSM tell me yet start to believe everything the fringe media tell me? :D

Evaluate the news from the MSM, read the actually topic, search for other sources of the news (which include non MSM sources) then make up your own opinion based upon the collections of facts you have gathered your self.

Funny it doesn't mention the cost of the typhoon :) Bean counters only cause problems in the military because they operate on the assumption that experienced people, whos decisions are life and death, are incapable of budgeting.

You know that the cannon, originally designed in the front nose cone of the typhoon was removed because a bean counter deemed it too expensive? The concrete counterweight which had to be designed to compensate for it's removal actually costs more than the cannon they took out to save money :(

On the plus side, now that everyone in Europe's spent a fortune on them, they decided to put the cannons back in, meaning India would get them as originally designed while we'll be left with a lot of (very expensive) concrete cones. Remember, it's an accountant that worked that out too :p

I question your sanity.

I am starting to beleive this operation is a mistake.

I dont think its about oil and I think the intentions are honourable, but I'm not really sure it's our fight to be involved with.

i was watching a video on the bbc website the other day showing one of the reporters driving around through checkpoints etc past gaddafi forces and it showed a few tanks sitting in the open at crossroads just guarding it.

now i see today the UK has bombed a bunch of tanks some in the cities the bbc reporter had gone to

why are we bombing tanks that arent a danger to civlians and they are clearly in gaddafi held territory nowhere near the front line?

just watching another video on skynews the second one on this page
http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Wo...s_EU_Pledges_Humanitarian_Mission_In_Misratah

the reporter says he saw a hind attack helicopter with a rebel flag flying out of benghazzi ......
I BET YOU DONT SHOOT THAT DOWN DO YOU NATO

wars a bunch of crap and im really starting to dislike this goverment now

Ditto.

Well, why would they?!?!?

no fly zone...

maybe you think only gaddafis mortars , artillery , rockets , tanks can hurt civilians though...

guess the rebels have the civlian safety system.

this is the perfect rebel weapon no chance of hitting any civlians , excelent guidance system to , its acurate to a nanometre

It's about intent, not ability... I.e., if it was purely to 100% protect all civilians then NATO wouldn't be able to fire munitions as civilians can all be hurt... The rebels have not sought to target civilians (yet).

But see my other post, ditto'ing Fox's.

wheres the intent from the gaddafi frontline that hasnt moved forward in days? it still gets bombed even though its only been defensive apart from the odd small push forward when the rebels attack but then they fall back again.

the sky reporter said there are almost no civilians in the rebel town on the frontline anymore and the few that remain are leaving.

doesnt stop nato bombing stuff though, some of the stuff that gets bombed is nowhere near any rebel areas and are clearly not attacking civlians.

wish i could find the video of the bbc reporter traveling though all of the gaddafi held territory showing the tanks just sitting at crossroads doing nothing apart from guarding the roads.

the un resolution is clearly about protecting civilians, this is not whats happening if anything by helping the rebels it is putting more civilians at risk as the rebels turned places into warzones that otherwise wouldnt have been.

theres some videos floating around the net that show what the rebels do to gaddafi suportes you should watch them if you think the rebels dont harm civilians
