Hi,
First a big thank you to the guys at OCUK for all thier help and patience with my order and for a great service so far!
Just got the new pc today, I bought the Mosasaur with ssd and crossfire in an antec 1200 case and its great!

I just have 2 problems tho,

I seem to be getting random blue screens of death if I use the overclocked profile in the bios with a number 0x00000124.
It is fine if I use default settings tho. Anybody know what this could be please?
Also I dont seem to be able to get the crossfire thing working, both cards show up in device manager but there is no crossfire tab or option in catalyst?
It says the 2nd card is disabled, Ive tried running driversweeper and installing different driver versions but still the same. In GPU-Z it says crossfire is disabled. Have I done something wrong here? I put both cards in and 2 of the bridge connectors, is this right? Do I have to change anything in the bios?

All in all tho I am well pleased with the new pc :)

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

According to this list of bsod codes, it is an increase/decrease vcore or QPI/VTT. There's also a long thread here where someone has the same problem.

Also, about crossfire, check this out.

Hi,
I have finally got crossfire enabled! I whent into the bios and changed the PCI Express x16-2 slot (Black) bandwidth from auto to 4,0,0,0,4 and now I get the option in catalyst and second card is showing as linked. Thanks for your help!
I still cant solve the bosd with the overclocked profile as this seems very complicated to me and I dont want to damage my nice new pc. I am new to this overclocking thing, the last pc I overclocked was a dx2 66 with a pair of tweezers lol.

Thank you for helping me get my crossfire working :D

Dave.

would changing those numbers to 8, 0, 0, 0, 8 make it run at x8/x8?

*edit*
just talking to the OP in another place, and it seems the motherboard doesnt have the option for x8/x8 crossfire. if the guys at overclockers have put the wrong motherboard in this machine, they should be shot, because thats a major mistake thats gonna bottleneck the graphics cards hugely

this is unbelievable overclockers. you have put the standard asus P8P67 motherboard, not the P8P67 pro into his PC. he spends £1600+ on a PC and you have the cheek to try and save a bit of money by going for a cheaper motherboard, that will seriously bottleneck his computer.

i am absolutely shocked by this.

if he does not get this computer changed to how it should have been free of charge, you will have two very unhappy people to deal with

if he doesnt get a reply by about 4pm or so, what number should he call to get the motherboard replaced?

there are these three UK numbers, not sure which it would be:

Sales - UK 0871 200 5052
Support - UK 0871 200 5053
Systems Support - UK 0871 200 5054

...they should be shot...*

Fortunately, we do not live in a country where such drastic action would be permitted :p

I am sure that OCUK's error was unintentional. Please do not accuse them of doing so in the interests of saving a few bucks. OCUK cares more about their integrity than £20

With what you've put above, all will happen now is a ban for you and the thread removed. :(

to be honest, i dont really care if i do get banned after my mate has been through that

however,

**to all mods**,
feel free to move this to a private section where we can discuss what is going on.

*edit*
just realised that if it was moved, the conversation would go to hob, not to me. ive moved the telephone conversation into the RMA section. hopefully this problem will be sorted out properly

Hi,
I would reply to this but in doing so could put myself into an awkward situation regarding getting this sorted out.

But I am not happy and the whole experience has left me feeling quite ill, especially after recently losing my father we can do without this.

Hobgoblin while im sorry for your loss, I don't think there's any reason to bring your fathers death into this, it's not relevant to the issue of you getting bad customer service from OCUK.

If I were you I would simply use your legal consumer powers and send the PC back under the Distance Selling Act http://www.out-law.com/page-430... then you get your money back.

EDIT - Whoever thought of those system names should be ashamed of themselves (eg: Ankylosaur), how cringeworthy!

You're happy with the comp but 1. Overclock results in BSOD and 2. your second card doesn't work?

Errrrrmmmmm

i think he's trying to say that, when it works, he will be happy with it.

problem now has changed from BSOD and not knowing how to do crossfire, to BSOD, OCUK putting the wrong motherboard in and refusing to change it back to what he wanted free of charge
