***SPOILERS*** Football 09-11 Apr 2010/2011

What could be Chelsea solution, is bringing back Daniel Sturridge from Bolton. His first goal was brilliant and his second was of top quality as well.

Could send Torres the other way, Bolton play some decent football might suit him a bit better and he'd be a first starter (just).

Worked out the other day that Torres has earned over a million pounds in wages since joining Chelsea already - not a bad payday for a return of 0 goals.

What lovely goal by Modric. How I wish Arshavin was as effective as him.

Modric has scored twice and got 2 assists all year?

Arshavin has scored 6 and got 11 assists or something hasnt he?

I cant tell whether you are being sarcastic or not is the point, because Arshavin is Arsenals runaway most productive player.

Contribution to build up play can be more important than being on the end of the finished product.

He said effective.

Modric plays as an attacking mid or left midfieder, almost exactly the same position as Arsharvin isnt it?

How far back down the period of play do you go before you start coming to the conclusion that players like Jermaine Jenas, Darren Gibson, and Denilson are world class?

4 passes? 5? 6? or all the way back to the goal keeper who started the play 20 odd passes ago?

I'm not arguing as to him being an OK player, but in regards to how effective he is, not very, Tottenham dont play a possesion game, they like to attack, and he plays as an attacking midfielder that doesnt score any goals or get any assists.

are you drunk, sir?

Ah another to tell someone how their team plays. :)

Unless you are the manager, you are no more qualified to say how Spurs set out to play than I am, so put forward your opinion on how you think spurs play, and I will argue against your opinion with how I think Spurs play.

Shall I start or do you want to go first?

Do you have an opinion on how effective he is?

So do you now class him as deep lying play maker?

So if he is, the Green shouldnt really be comparing him to Arsharvin should he?

You might as well comapre him to wayne Rooney.

Which bit dont you agree with anyway?
Where he plays? how many goals he gets? what exactly he does on the pitch?

Remember, the point I am arguing against is the comparison to Arsharvin.

Hah of course I'm not.

Well, I believe the play with a certain... Je nais se quoi. The little man punts it to the big man and they put the round thing in the big oblong thing. Sometimes the red and white striped thing will try to stop the round thing or the big man. If this happens, the black or yellow thing will blow a thing to penalise the big man.

We're a side that gets big wins every couple of months which helps to skew Arshavin's statistics. Modric is a much harder working player and it was more size of the person and their effectiveness in all round play I was referring to. Arshavin as I'm sure you can tell by the complaints is an incredibly lazy player. I'm well aware of the stats that DM constantly churns out and as well all know they don't tell the entire story. :p

Edit - admittedly I did post that after complementing his goal, perhaps that's where the confusion arose.

Come on, be sensible.

Spurs are a team who are made to go forward, in numbers, they have a manager with that mentality, they have a squad filled with players with that mentality.

Modric and Arshavin are different types of players. Arshavin is more like VDV and Modric is more like Fabregas.

Modric will run all day, dictating play in the middle of the park, he can beat a man with trickery and pace but his shooting isn't that great.

Arshavin plays further forward and relies on his team to do the dirty work, better at shooting and trickier with the ball. Arshavin wouldn't be as effective at Modric's role and vice-versa.

Modric does a pass the ball a lot more, and does tackle a lot more.

How effective that is in raw match winning terms is subjective.
