Just don't mention to the developer, i rarely check the forums but someone did and got his head bitten off. The developer of that software is an arrogant,big headed nasty person

try close down FRAPs?
was getting frequent crashes while recording, and once not recording. so closed FRAPs down and seems fine now.
if that fails, close down everything that interacts with GPU and/or have any overlay. (eg Steam, MSI Afterbuner, VOIP program)

at minute its a bit hit and miss goons hc server has been emptyish and most on here dont like hc
the sqdm doesnt hold settings or has mind of its own (was down earlier) this has put people off it aswell.
nM one is sorted but you need people to start it off .
the thing which makes it hard is how the friends works its pretty bad or best to useless. this is why ive been playing cod 4 again a lot
ill play bfbc2 with anyone though if you want a game but also waiting for my card to be rmad which sucks cause im on a old 7900gtx at moment
I've now come to the conclution that once you buy a MP server, it starts off great then they over load the box with other server.... for no reason what so ever the dam SQDM server will just go down and needs to be restarted!!
The HC server has now started to have lag issues and random crashes.... I thought DICE/MP had sorted this problem out!!
Grrr Hope BF3 isn't like this!
Hi mate, i'm not using fraps, i did have the game added to steam though, but i tried it via normal shortcut and it still happened.

I'm running MSI AB with BFBC2 without any problems with Punkbuster. I'm also running Steam, Xfire and Raptr at the dame time. I'm using the MSI AB version before the latest one with the latest Beta NVIDIA driver, 270. something.

that's just typical.... what if i want to play forward VSS recon?
the "CustomPC" (search term) server also runs weapon limiter, but it only limits 12x scope. most bush wookies use 12x scope, and the CPC server only limit that, so if you wish to use VSS or quickscope on the front-line, it is not discouraged.

just gone back to a ati card today and im getting to when it counts down to load time the others have started and im a few seconds behind them,all tanks and helis have gone never got this with my nvidia card anyone else getting it

Are you using very old drivers? It used to be an issue many many driver versions ago.
Personally since the fixed drivers I tend to load super quickly - this is across 4870, 4870x2, 5870 and 6970 cards.
I can't run MSI AB, Fraps, CCC overclock page. Made no difference going from 11.1 Catalyst to 11.2 although I didn't try the latest one yet. Practically anything that monitors the temperatures or frame rates of my HD6950. Not a huge issue once you know what not to use.
Hopefully one day Punkbuster will fix whatever the issue is. It affects a few people but not all. I'm unsure why this is.
re: The long loading time. I went from 10.4 or something with my HD4890 to 11.1 with the same card and loading times were slashed from 40 seconds or moer to about 18 seconds (not accurate, been a while since I measured). I always missed out on tanks and helis. Now I'm among first to hit server. High quality setting takes a little longer than medium too.
