Having a Google, it sounds like this happens to UPS deliveries all the time.
 
Your packages were never in Germany, the export/import paperwork is completed as soon as UPS receives the package.

I had something similar with my MBP.
 
IPAD 2 Watch - Update

The mysterious workings of UPSs Tracking System now show that my parcel has arrived in the UK and has been sent out for delivery! Whoo hoo.

Ahem - I think this is my geek mid-life crisis..
 
Just had one of these arrive to tide me over till marware release the microshell folio. No idea if its real leather or not but for £6 delivered I don't care , its surprisingly well made and I'm really happy with it.

edit: It arrived in 2 days as well so it really is dispatched from the UK.

Just ordered same from rainforest (listed as TeckNet iPad 2 Folio Leather Case), you saved 2 quid on me, but good to know they are decent cases for the money as the rainforest feedback also suggests. Probably going to get the Pixelskin or Miniot (hopefully they will make back cover) case as longer term solution.
 
Anyone try to use the reserve in store on the Apple site tonight, seems the option wasn't there today, was last night was, but no stock left in the two stores I tried.

Perhaps they have loads now, so you can't or need to reserve ???? Some chance I guess.

Local Indian food shop isn't allowed any yet, until Apple has supplied it's "premium stores"...
Apple store couldn't sell me one, as they have to be reserved the night before....
Getting hacked off with Apples market manipulation....

No signs of backlight bleeding. Wish the supplied USB cable was a bit longer though...
 
Indeed the cable is a bit fail length wise. I got myself one of these which works as a charging station for all my USB devices: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC359B/A

Sure it is a bit pricey for what it is, but it is well made, 10w which is what the iPad needs and I use it loads for other USB powered devices.
 
I ordered mine on the 4th April and received a dispatch email last night.

It is now showing a UPS status of Exception but Apple have updated the estimated delivery to the 15th April (tomorrow!). I hope that it will arrive before the weekend but i am not holding my breath.
