Do you tidy your rubbish at KFC/McD's/BK?

Wow, get a load of Mr Privileged Upbringing. You just don't have a clue, do you. For some people, it's the only work they can find. And you're not even willing to make their awful jobs slightly better.

Choose to make burgers. Choose? Some people have no choice at getting even marginally skilled work.

Sorry if this sounds a little tit for tat, but yours is worse, to be honest. You sound quite selfish and unpleasant - just from this, at least.

His 'reasons' are founded on ignorance, sanctimony and snobbery. That's why.

Mr priveleged upbringing? Hmm. I think that counts as a personal attack.

1) because it is false and
2) it is insulting

I'm not selfish or unpleasent at all. You seem to either work for a fast food chain or have some kind of unnatural love for fast food employees. All of which is very drab and as DM has already said, this is my opinion, accept it just like I accept yours and move on!

OK, what other way is there? I'm interested.

Ok he might have worded it better, but iv got to say im sort of that opinion, not everyone can be a brain surgeon, someone has to work in McDonalds.

And lets have it right i doubt the average McDonalds worker gives two ****s if you empty your tray or not, its just part of his job.

Agreed.

I don't word things the best at times but at least soemone gets my point of view!

Post was pretty insulting tbh mate. Broke the rules. Only 3 days, Im sure he will live.

I really can't believe people are so against leaving rubbish on a table in a 'restaurant', we have people comparing this to littering which is laughable. Bottom line is, McDonalds employ people to serve and clean so if I choose to leave my rubbish for the staff to clean away then so be it.

To the people who said that the staff don't enjoy their job, that's not my problem, I don't enjoy my job but I do it and no-one makes it easier for me...

EXACTLY!

Im being made out to be some kind of mcdonalds staff killer by not empyting my tray on here!

Seems like a whole lot of over analysis of the issue tbh.

I do clear my own stuff away, but I certainly would not feel guilty about it if I didn't. I clear it away out of a bit of courtesy. Treat people the way you would want to be treated and all that. It really doesn't take any effort at all to put it in the bin so why not.

It is just a bit of courtesy and respect to another individual, I could expect them to clean up after me as that is part of the job to keep the restaurant tidy however I choose to clear up my own mess. It also shows a degree of courtesy to fellow diners who may want to sit there before an employee gets a chance to clean up.

I tend to do it in Bars as well. If I an leaving a table and have a few empty glasses I will pop them on the bar on the way past (if I am passing it of course).

However I choose to have that viewpoint, it hardly makes someone a monster if they dont.

As a previous BK worker I don't understand how people can be filthy enough to leave their half-eaten meal remnants behind on tables. I always clear my table when finished unless the bins are already overflowing, at which point I'd be making the problem worse.

It might be different in other parts of the country, but let me tell thee, the only people down here who do not clear away their own stuff are spotty little ******.

I just find it the polite thing to do. Has it not always been the case that you pop your tray in the bin? Back in the Eighties and Nineties we ALL did. What has changed now? It is not exactly difficult to do, is it? The bins are on the way out and there is a tray shelf. You don't even have to touch the wrappers!

Listen when i go to McDonalds i say please, then i pay my money, then i say thank you, exactly the same courtesy i show anyone im buying something off.

No ones condoning giving Ronald McDonald a slap and telling him to liven up with my milk shake, im just not seeing the rudeness here, im really not.

No, you're being made out to be inconsiderate, which appears to be bang on the money IMO.

Exactly

Not often are tables full with no seating but when it is, the blame is usually staff not cleaning quick enough and too many people leaving their leftovers.
Eugh.

I don't really understand why you wouldn't put the rubbish away. You are generally encouraged to do so and it's on the way out. Plus it just saves whoever is working there some hassel and frees up the seats for people that want to use them. Just seems a bit inconsiderate to be honest.

Always put my rubbish away, I don't litter in the street just because there are street cleaners employed by the council.

Mr priveleged upbringing? Hmm. I think that counts as a personal attack.

Personal attack? For suggesting someone has a privileged upbringing? Madness. Poor Lysander.

They actually charge you more for eating in IIRC, so other than using their tables and chairs, what other service are you paying for? Them cleaning up after you is the answer.
