Hi all,

I'll be short and straight to the point with this...

Many of you will know I run Vortez.net (hardware review site) and we will be doing various 'OcUK member testing' with Alpenfohn product throughout 2011. Its a great opportunity for anyone to get involved on these forums. So to start things off, basically I have a box of Wing Boost fans - 120mm and 140mm fans (Product pages are here)

I'd like those who are interested in testing these fans to post within the thread and on 19th April @ 22:00GMT I will select random members and send out fans. The idea here is to find out what you think of these fans and post it on the forums with a few pictures and just a summary of your findings. We aren't looking for comprehensive analysis (although if you want to... go for it!) its a good way of finding out what the enthusiast thinks of these products and it should be a lot of fun!

So, if you are interested in doing a mini review on these fans please register interest within this thread and I will select members on 19th April @ 22:00GMT

What a coincidence was going to buy x3 140mm fans this week for my 420 Radiator thats coming, Alpenfon fans were on my short list with Prolimatech fans.

Could i test a 120mm fan please?
Can test on a tfc 120mm rad comparing Sharkoon 1000 rpm, lianli's , nexus real quiets, tri-cools, noctua 800rpm and a yate loon fan.

If you've got a couple of the 120mm fans to spare I can do a GTS240 fan comparison vs a Scythe Ultra Kaze at various RPM. If you've only got the one, I can do some testing vs Lian Li stock fans, Xigmatek 1500rpm crystal fans and the Scythe Ultra Kaze on an HR02.

Hmmm i would be interested in testing both the 140mm and 120mm in my Noctua D14.
How are these fans compared to the ones on the D14 on sound levels?

edit: just read the specs and the 120mm operates a smidge below the Noctua NF-P12's. 19.7dB(A) vs 19.8dB(A)

I have a sr1 420 rad (3x140mm) so use 140mm on it, case is all 120mm fans also could test some compared to my current yate loons. All are on a fan controller so i can test over a wide rpm range. I can also take nice photos using my nikon d90 :)

I'm certainly interested. I have a decent camera and like doing this sort of thing having already done a few guides and tutorials on these forums. I could compare 120mm fans against Apaches, Xilence Red Wings, Antec Tri-Cools and Noctua NF-P12s.

I would love to test these fans out, would like to try the 120mm & 140mm on my NH-D14 or just one fan even. Also that cooler looks very nice indeed, would love to test one of them in the future should the opportunity come my way.

id be happy to help test them for you.

would be testing on a nocuta tower cpu cooler vs the standard fan and on my water setup vs gentle typhoons.
