The must have PC games ? are there any ?

If you're even remotely into RTS or 'build massive space armada and blast enemy fleet'-type games then Homeworld should definately be in your list. Rather old now, but still a classic...

Might have a problem getting it working on anything past Windows 98 though. ;)

Cant beleive no one has mentioned STALKER series and I even forgot to mention it before, if you have a gaming PC and havent played these games, you really really should

Ooops I fail, someone has mentioned it, nevermind :)

Yes, the PC has a huge back catalogue, but again, that wasn't what I was addressing with my post. Apologies for the off-topic, lets get back to PC games.

To the OP's question, you'll have to be more specific, at least give us a couple of favourite genres :)

I think he's referring to Indie games.

At any rate, yes lots of games are multi-platform, but that doesn't mean they suit a controller at all.

Yeah, hence me addressing that in my reply.

I know what you're getting at, but indies aren't setting the trends or leading the industry market share, much as I'd like them to. Most revenue accrues to a handful of publishers...EA, Ubisoft, Vivendi (Activision-Blizzard etc).

;)

Indeed, but that doesn't stop Halo\Gears of War\Call of Duty etc being successful on the consoles.

To be honest, looking at the audience they're aimed at now, I'm beginning to wonder how people managed without quest markers in RPGs :p

Not at all.

Just started Mass Effect, and i find that it is much easier with kb/m as oppsed to controller. Ther are a few games though, wher i need to use a controller.
Recently played AC Brotherhood. I could not play that without a controller tbh.

I can not make up my mind about Splinter Cell Conviction. I'm playing with kb/m, but it just doesn't feel right to me

Not all console ports are bad anyway. You would be missing out on some great games if you didn't buy them because they were console ports
It's not ideal, i know it would be nice if games were developed to their full potential, but at least they look better on PC:)
