The need for Oil justifies everything. Without oil, the west is doomed.

+ any other modernised/industrialised country - so in fact we can count pretty much the whole world?

The hypocrisy is in the people who bleet about how big bad and evil the west is, they sit on forums and moan, some might even attend marches to protest and join anti govt/war marches.... then when all said and done they'll power up their laptops, stick eastenders on the box, drive down to McD's (in their oil powered car) and generally live a life of modern luxury. I say, go live in a jungle or a cave, or better yet, Libya:

so what if i do stuff that requires oil that doesnt mean i can have a neutral viewpoint...do i have to be biased towards the west because im a westerner acording to you?

But you are a soldier?

What are you asking? Every person who joins the military is trained to be a soldier first and foremost but then specialises in a trade. A chef, in the broad sense of being in the military is a soldier, but you wouldn't label him/her a soldier, nor would you a nurse/pilot/geo spatial technician/mechanic/etc. In this sense no I am not a soldier.

But you aren't neutral at all, in fact your opinion and the posts you make appear completely one sided and very much narrow minded.

Furthermore would you actually give a toss about any of this if it wasn't spread all over the news and internet? I'm guessing not/

Well what are you if everyone's opinion is automatically inferior to your own?

Do tell...

You aren't neutral either, you normally wildly over react when people criticise the establishment that in turn gives you your Queen's shilling.

if you read back some of my first posts were wanting the UN to stop the fighting on both sides rather than tell gaddafi to ceasefire and pull back from all of the contested cities which would mean he should surrender the whole country apart from tripoli which was never going to happen just like the rebels were never going to agree to the first proposed ceasefire when it wasnt in their best intrest they knew the UN were on there side regardless of wether they stoped fighting or not.

they needed to tell the rebels to stay behind ajdabiya and gaffadi to stay behind brega or both sides would be bombed.

the UN is far from neutral and should not have chose one side over the other in a civil war if they wanted to end all of the fighting to protect civilians they would have made the same demands on both sides yet they didnt and still havent.

gaddafi and the rebels are as bad as each other the the western world only wants to see the gaddafi forces hated because its in their best intrests now unless cameron and sarkozi want to look like failures who will never win an election again i suspect both of them only did it to try and improve their opinion ratings in the first place

You are not as neutral as you would like to make yourself out to be.

Yet I never claimed to be, where as others have despite displaying a one sided viewpoint. I am of course not neutral, however I am open minded and willing to take on board facts from numerous sources rather than just what I am fed on the news.

Your argumentative position led me to believe you were, throwing it out willy nilly so to speak.

Do accept what the state feeds you without logically validating it yourself?

British military officers will be sent to Libya to advise rebels fighting Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's forces on how to protect civilians, the UK government says.

They are just there to advise on military organisational structures, communications and logistics, including how best to distribute humanitarian aid and deliver medical assistance. I wonder if they will be providing a little more than the above?

yea i was going to post that but i would have been bashed again the same as i was going to post a qoute from a british humanitarium worker that said there was no evidence of civilians beeing targeted.

the same as i was going to post about UN aid workers beeing allowed into the country..

anyway anyone who believes those officers are just going to advise and not train is very naive .

I've come to the conclusion that the UK government can't keep itself out of a mess, when it sees one we just leap straight in. Here we go again! Quick guys, dig deeper!

human rights group criticizing western media and saying they have so far saw no evidence of any civilians beeing targeted by gaddafi

intresting to see benghazi just recieved 48 brand new land cruisers probably paid for by british tax payers and they are obciously going to be used by the army for offensive action which imo should be considered military aid and not allowed
