Just a quick one to see if anyone else has had a any issues with these disks?

We bought 10 and stuck them in Dell Precision T1500's as the main disk.

4 out of the 10 have failed and just do not get seen by the BIOS without any warning they are going to fail. The user just shuts down as usual and they next boot up and the PC complains that there is no boot device.

When you reboot the PC the SSD is not even detected by the BIOS.

So far we have had to RMA 3 of these (NOT THROUGH OCUK) and I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences as I was looking to get two SSD's for my home machine to RAID 0, or wether to just go mech with sata 6gb?

If it helps, I was thinking of installing an OCZ vertex 2e drive in my Dell e6410 laptop but when I looked on some support forums there is a known issue when using SSD's on certain Dell laptop models where it loses or fails to detect the device on reboot or coming out of hibernation.

Some users have managed to get around the issue by disabling standby and or hibernation modes.

Thanks for the reply, the Dell PC's are desktops but will check the last ssd I have that failed in another machine. Sure I did that for the last three but you never know...

This was the issue, our supplier offered to replace all of the other drives if we cannot update the firmware on the remaining ones.
glad to hear this has been sorted satisfactorily. i was kind of surprised to see issues with Kingston, but then I noticed that these are Jmicron controllers so now I'm not so surprised...

V+100 is probably well worth the little bit of extra cost if anyone else is considering Kingston.
