From what I have read that GPS issue seems to be related to Google Maps, which I do not use. My GPS application, the little I have used it, runs fine.

It was Fancy Widget Pro causing the constant reboots. Going to change to beautiful widgets and hopefully that app wont have the same issue.

Got BW yesterday, everything is fine, i was sceptical about paying for an app, but for less than £2, you cant go wrong i dont think

So GEN2 is meant to upgrade your Upload speed, well I wasnt finding that:

is there a mod that allows unlocking with menu/home/back keys?

Right I had CM7 rc4 on the wifes phone and she stopped complaining that it was crashing/ freezing etc then for some reason i installed 7.0.0 shes been having nothing but bother with it locking up etc, only way around is to remove battery and reboot. Before I go back to RC4 are there any other suggestions of roms to try? Still GEN1, not sure if its worth updating to gen2 yet?

Yes, but it will kill your battery since it prevents your phone from entering sleep mode.

worthless then... its a bit annoying having the on/off button for unlock too..

placed wrong too.. the only design fault i have found..

Go back to RC4.

I was in the same boat. I used RC4 since release (skipped the nightlies up to stable) and then installed the "stable" release. Had nothing but problems, with freezes, lags and crashes. Went back to RC4 and it's great.

seems ok so far, will let her try it for a day or so and all fails put rc4 bag on

I was on JJ9 until about a fortnight ago. I went to SS RLS4 and whilst I had a litle hiccup at the start (I can't even remember what it was now!), I installed ADW Launcher and I'm very happy with it

When I used SS 4 I found that I had some issues with the Dialer causing the phone to be awake for a long time, shown under spare parts / partial wake usage. However my wife's SF did not show that, with the same apps installed.
My wife's phone is a B10 and mine a B08, not sure if that matters.

When using CM7 I do not get that issue.

The Modaco forum has a ton of stickies on sellers so that might be worth a look, I'm a bit wary of getting a new one with all the gen2/b8/b10 issues and random stuff since I got my original gen1 last year.

Well, I've had fun modding my San Fran, but a HTC HD2 running Andeoid 2.3 (and hopefully dual booting with WP7 soon too!) has just arrived, a new toy to mod!
